For me 35s is pretty standard open folded to me in co (or even limped). Obviously this can change if bu-bb is good. I don't like sizing 20-25 I like to get folds post and win more money. If I size too small I just get snapped by bottom pair too often when I 3 barrel.

Even with a hand like 53s, it's almost always a open from the cut off. Just because you're not profitable with it doesn't mean it's not an open...learn to be profitable with it.
Here is where maybe I think our disagreement lies. What is borderline and what is not are not absolutes IMO. It depends on game dynamics, player strengths/weaknesses, opponent strengths/weaknesses, mood, awareness, point in the session, image, just to name a few.

Your comment stating "learn to be profitable with it" seems to ignore all of these factors. That may be fine for a player of your caliber, but is potentially not for others who aren't in the same category. That does not mean that all players shouldn't strive for that; it just means that some of us might not be there yet and therefore perhaps shouldn't play like we are.

Anyway, I appreciate your thoughts.

Yes, and for some players, opening 78s on the button is -EV as well. That doesn't mean you shouldn't open it. You learn to get better by opening hands that you should be opening
