Villain is a very capable young kid, not particularly over-aggro or spewy but capable of shenanigans. My image is similar.
There's some other aggro players behind me who squeeze frequently which is why I flatted the original raise (plus original raiser is likely to just fold).
Effective stacks are 2900.
I'm MP with KK.
Preflop: Guy opens 40, I call, villain raises to 140, all fold, I raise to 440, Villain raises to 800, I call.
Yeah I thought about this for a while and I think it's a check/fold. With no further info on his 5betting range I think he's gonna have a lot of Ax in it so really the only option is to turn your hand into a bluff on the river but you kind of only rep AK and that's it because all the other hands that smash that board you wouldn't backraise with except like 78 sooted. Villain might assume that you would just rip it in pre with AK or c/raise his smallish bet so I think it would get looked up a lot by a hand beating you. I think he folds the other KK everytime if you ship the river tho
really interesting hand dynamic because of your flat of the original open. when he bets less than half pot on flop i would call too and reevaluate. i would think kk is the best hand on the river and i would ch call
Because I think his range includes a fair amount of bluffs and I want to keep those hands in. There isn't much value to re-raising; he's just going to fold a lot.
I can't see much merit to this. There's just not that many hand combos I beat; mainly QQ/KK that he's turning into a bluff, but he could even be turning Ax into a bluff to try to get me off AK.
You are getting in KK pre no matter what 300bb against a good player? What do you think they will call you with. I just don't know of live ranges being that wide to be able to be profitable doing it unless its a donk
