ML4L discusses the LAG v TAG http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...Number=3313830

David Sklansky provides this gem with a great cero_z response and a nice little pot limit tutorial by limon http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...fpart=all&vc=1

Cero_z mixes it up deepstack style in this Bobbofitos thread http://archives2.twoplustwo.com/show...fpart=all&vc=1

Neon goes through a fun hand at Foxwoods http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...fpart=all&vc=1

Limon and myself take on the forum here http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/56...e-blah-668976/

While Gigabet is probably most famous for his "almost there with success and failure" post (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/36...ong-17/#post17) he also adds to this nice CSC theory post here http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...fpart=all&vc=1 as well as battles with Strassa in this debate about the merits of certain hands in a short stacked situation http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...fpart=all&vc=1

This was just a really fun hand with a great dynamic I shared here http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/56...nd-fun-438463/ with the X-post here http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/11...x-post-438464/

Glad to see you resurrect some of these old threads. I learned to play big bet poker from guys like Carl, Bobby Hoff, Billy O'Connor and other guys most of the younger guys today have never heard of. I now have all the books and benefit from the knowledge I've gained from 2+2 and I probably have a much better grasp of NL theory due to that. But I learned a lot the hard way from Carl (including why AK is known as walking back to Houston, or in my case flying back broke to New Mexico).

jloc,

Without asking you to do a well, any chance you can just tell your poker story up to present?

Thanks

Re: #5000 shout outs

I think we can now add DGAF to this list of contributors whose creativity and insightful perspective offer up some great threads. A couple favorites:

Going thin: Live 10-20, river play
Passive vs aggressive on draws: 10-20-40 NL, ship or take the free card?
The 'protect your equity' controversy: 5-10 at the Venetian, call or fold turn?
Good ol preflop debate: Live 5-10, a big pot with ochocinco

His story: 2k- a poker story (wtmfl;dr obv)

Thanks for the bump. Not sure how I missed this thread the first time around.

Jloc, thank you so much for your contributions to the forums over the years. You always help drive intelligent analysis and discussion and I've learned a lot from you, but perhaps even more importantly, your civility and lack of patience for trolling have helped maintain the level of discourse on the forums. You are one of the greatest contributors to twoplustwo.

I love how DGAF hasn't posted in a very long time, and stopped when his post count got to 1999. Pimp.

Re: #5000 shout outs

I really miss DGAF in this forum. Such a good natural teacher of the LAG style. . .

His posts were quite generous. . .I think he realized that the people who were going to the trouble to read MHFR were not going to be his primary source of income, so he could afford to make some of us a little better.
