$5/$10 - Top 2 IP Facing Turn Lead

V1 - UTG ($1K) - middle aged Asian women that is a calling station (on all streets) - horrible

V2 - BB ($3.5K) - old white guy that is bad-passive, super-wide range pre (often limp-calling)

Hero - LP ($1.6K) - been playing fairly snug

-----

Preflop: Hero in LP with T 9
V1 raises to $40, Hero calls $40, V2 calls $30

Flop: ($125) T 9 7 (3 Players)
V2 checks, V1 bets $40, Hero raises to $140, V2 calls $140, V1 calls $100

Turn: ($545) 4 (3 Players)
V2 bets $330, V1 folds, Hero?

-----

thoughts?

Hrm passive old guy with super wide range cold calls flop raise oop and then leads turn, I expect to be beat here most of the time. If you raise here fold to jam, but I would rather call/eval but probably fold river unless you think he ever bluffs or could be v-towning himself.

Yeah, I prefer call/eval as well. Raising turn only leads to villain folding hands we beat and shoving when we are crushed so I don't see how we gain anything.

Pretty standard call, IMO.

The good part about this type of villain is that they rarely overbet river. Call 330 on the turn. Call 450-550 on the river (unless a 9 or T comes).

Raising the turn does not accomplish anything as passive old guy is not betting a draw here. And we definitely do not want to fold out 7 4 and such.

Re: $5/$10 - Top 2 IP Facing Turn Lead

Preflop, I think call > fold > raise.

Flop looks fine to me.

On the turn, I think fold > call > raise.

"Super-wide range pre" adds sooo many straight combos to his range that it dwarfs everything else. And the donk-lead on the turn takes most T7/97 out of his range anyway.

I think this is actually a fold against almost anyone, but against this guy it's not even close.

Call and lose to a flopped straight. That's how poker go. Or you could fold if he tells you he'll show, but how do you sleep without seeing his hand?

Gross. Really having a tough time seeing how Top 2 is good here given description of villain and his line. Flat pre, check call two bets on flop, lead turn and river HAS to mean that our hand is no good. Has to be J8s or a set that led the turn because of the backdoor flush and then led the river for a valuey amount. I would like to think I take some time and fold here but in the heat I prolly call down and lose.

For this reason I really don't mind a turn fold. I bet on the flop villian was planning to c/r but since you raised he flatted because he thought he could trap you both. You really need to know villian could have qj or missed fd and is willing to bluff, but I don't really think that is the case.

This is close but i really thinkn i can find a fold here against this particular villain. I think younare up against a set very often. I dont mind the turn call because you may be able to overboat him for all the chips with position.
