Villain: Older caucasian gentleman who plays fairly frequently with hero in the last few weeks and is very friendly.. Not the loosest player but is definitely not a winner

Hero: Young 24-year old male with winning grinder image who is friendly with regs.. viewed as tight and does not get out of line too often..

5/10 6-handed 2.4k effective

Villain opens UTG+1 for $35, button flats, Hero 3bets to $130 from sb and villain flats.

Flop($310) Q63

I lead for $155, villain raises to $315, I backraise to $760 and he has about 1.2k behind after the $760....

Question A: What does villain's range/hand look like?
Question B: What does Hero's range/hand look like?

Villain's line looks like some nut hands (33, 66, AA) and some weaker SDV hands like KQ maybe, trying to take control of the pot.

I think your line/sizing is pretty bad with just about every hand. Your preflop sizing is way too small. And I'm not really sure what you are trying to accomplish with your flop line.

This is a flop 3bet, not a backraise.

I think villain is probably overplaying some KQ AQ, also showing up with KK+ and sets some but I think there's a reasonably high chance he slow-plays his sets. You look like you have KK+, and I'm not sure its a great idea to do this with any other hands but KK+.

I'd 3-bet slightly larger pre and bet about 190-210 on the flop so you can bet your stack by the river.

Thanks - really appreciate this!

Do you think older villains call 3bets with 33/66 hoping to setmine against what is perceived as a strong hand preflop?

B) QQ, air
What percentage would you weigh as air and would you hold on for the rest of the ~1.6k stack im gonna shove on the turn with TP?

He has a big hand. He's not going to fold.

Yes a villain like this is calling pre 33/66

Villain isn't even thinking about your air. Probably just creaming in his pants because he has a hand he's stacking off with
