This hand happened in wynn macau (50/100hkd let s round up at 5/10 usd)
At 5 am in the morning, table tired, 5 news players just joined. Plenty of regs but I do not see any spewy tourists so far.
Full ring table 10 ppls
Hero (720$) is underolled (usually plays 2/5 but there is only 5/10 tonight ...and seen as a weak tight player (taking a lot of time to make 20bb river calls in unraised pot with TP bluff catch)
V1 is tired, 40s, does not seem to be a scary player but knows how to play and make correct hand selection before the flop. Would qualify as tight.
He had 100bb now down to approx 425$. He does not care about hero s style - not sure
V2 is many style suit and sunglasses on monday morning (seems to be playing whole night during sunday). He just arrived maybe pfr 15% which is loose imo for full ring. No history with him as he just arrived.
Preflop:
V1 (425$) raises to 25$ UTG (i eliminate premium pairs because of sizing, at this table you need to raise 30/35 usually , or 40. The sizing is weak
A player folds and
V2 (has all of us covered) reraises at 75$
hero opens JJ (720$) and is worried, took some time then called
V1 calls.
Pot (225$exlucding blinds)
Flop T2s5s flush draw possible
V1 donk bet 100 with 250$ behind
v2 folds!! hero calls 100
Pot is now 425$
Turn Kd not completing the flush, v1 all in for 250$
Oups...my bad - forget this remark - it was a feeling because it was one of 2 ppls raising most a the table and not often in position... Maybe just cards,
Not really loose then ... As we day a tag is 20% pfr -_-;
But we are supposed to tighthen the range in full ring and oop no...
If you are under rolled and in Asia looking to do a poker vaca, I'd highly recommend manila. Tons of .50 1 equivalent games with OK rake. Macau is too high for you dude and the rake there is abysmal at their lowest stakes.
Well T high flop , I do not think anyone has AT here. 2 flush flop and I don't think he has any straight draw (25T flop) so no strong draw (unless he has exactly AKs in which case maybe he has better equity gii preflop with 45bb? - basically made hand pocket pair - that s my read...
he UTG raises, got 3bet, my cold call is strong , so for me his Donk bet committing his stack is strong ... In 3 way and oop?
I end up calling the turn as played, he had 77 and I scooped the pot. Donk call?
My question is - is there sometimes I will run into AK here by calling the flop - attempting to call his stack off turn ? (While no shove otf to make sure to call his all in turn)
I hesitated to call flop because I showed a strong line and he donk bet 3 way in 3bet pot oop and he is initial utg raiser - could be QQ?
id fold pre sometimes or just 4b/gii vs looser 3b strategies
peeling to set mine vs a range of ak and better pairs is gonna lose $ and cost u $ post when u make mistakes like jamming flop vs this ragne
