I am not checking here, I wouldn't be looking to trap on this board. Sure V has some weak hands in his range if he "likes to gamble" but the pot if big enough where you should he happy taking it down with a bet.

With 315 in dead money pre, is there any merit in just shipping pre?

With everyone calling UTG's open, it seems that UTG isn't a super nit and has a range that we are ok with.

We'll take down 31BBs uncontested a lot, will see all 5 when called, and will rarely be a big dog.

Too deep although these dumb situations do come up a lot in live poker and it's a unique dynamic that is not discussed enough on these forums imo. (The unique dynamic in live poker is that people limp/call $50 opens and 2-3 people will flat even a huge 3bet (this one was too small), so you can start a hand 200bbs deep and still get to the flop with an SPR of 1 or 2 which is just really, really funny when you think about it.

This particular hand is very standard, you basically flopped the nuts but no turns are good and 1/5 of them are bad. Villain will call wider than he will bet here (i.e., TTx is calling more than it's betting, etc) and even drunken Asians don't bluff monotones that often. This is just a really bad flop to take an inducing line on and that's what we are doing when we check, bc we pretty much have the stones here.

If we had AxK then we could definitly check for the opposite reasons above.

If turn is a we have a very easy check/fold regardless of "pot odds" or whatever. There are no pot odds when villains only have the nuts and you have no redraws.

I also wouldnt bet flop that large $400 as DGAF suggested would probably be my sizing maybe even like $375.

any thoughts on his flatting range pre? AAismyfriend made an interesting point which if i refer to "not afraid to gamble" might change my mind but there's a larger part of me that thinks its a travesty to not start putting more money into this pot.
