You're obv annoyed about my comment about people that bring lol backpacks to play poker.-- as far as image goes, nobody that plays for fun and can afford to play/ will play 5-10 is going to bring a ****ing backpack filled with food to cut expenses / or filled with other crap to pass the time.

Food / whatever else can be bought at the casino. And fun players come to play poker and shoot the ****, not bring a ****ing iPad to watch movies/ talk to no one/ fold. And before you say it's filled with cash ( who the **** would bring a bp full of cash to play 5-10?). if it was anything else they would leave it in their room/ car.

The obvious answer is anyone that brings a backpack is some sort of nit/ grinder/ vibe killer.

- you asked if a perceived pro that plays plays higher than this would 3bet you lighter- the answer is yes because the majority of winners that play down think they have a big edge pf. Hence justify making iffy plays pre and making up for it post. Even more so since a c3b oop from a nit/grinder is face up.

This texture against a nit/grinder image is bad to barrel off on at this stack depth considering most players (especially a bp player) will not fold an overpair in a 3b pot on this board and the fact that overpairs make up a huge part of your range.

Imo results don't matter if your reads are right (pro that plays bigger than 5-10). His value range crushes yours, your hand is face up and he should know it, and he should also know that perceived villains like yourself will not fold the overpair (that makes up almost their entire range) on tbe river at this stack depth.

I don't know how many times I can say that

no i dont really care, i was just having a bit of fun since you seem to take this very seriously. i try to have human conversation and make jokes to remind people that im not just a backpack, im a person too (but seriously, demeanor is like 1000x more important than the backpack issue imo).

its not a question of would he 3b me lighter, its a question of how often and with which hands. the fact that you think he thinks i am a nit is probative to these questions, and is one of the things i am asking.

folding 100% seems like a pretty big adjustment nearly readless, but i understand what you are saying - thanks.

It's not necessarily the same in different places. Out here in the provinces, our casino shares a complex with an outlet mall that's very popular with international travelers for its low prices, and a certain number of these bargain hunters drop in for a poker game. Needless to say, they're not the most experienced players and when I see a backpack or any other accoutrement of a cheapster tourist, I think "fish" more than I think "nit."

This is pretty much my thinking. That he was in EP 3-betting your EP raise, followed by the triple barrel on this run out, I don't think you can call river. He's easily targeting QQ, JJ exactly, maybe Tx. You are almost never flatting 7x pre oop... so yes, you're going to be capped, but you will very narrowly capped on a range of hands that looks exactly like the kind of hand you have. Villain is far more likely to value bet against that range than he is to bluff. Edit: Just read results. Didn't expect that.
