Each of the last two WSOP's we have organized a dinner followed by an optional low-limit no limit "drinking" game at the Hard Rock hotel and casino.

I've been dragooned to serve as the organizer this year. After conferring with DGAF we are proposing Tuesday evening June 16th, with dinner at Nobu followed by poker whenever folks are ready to stagger on down from dinner.

Depending on responses it might be possible to move the date to Wednesday the 17th or Thursday the 18th, but the 16th works best for DGAF.

If you are interested please respond by posting in this thread or by PM to me (jrr63) with your status:

or

"definitely in".

If there will be more than one in your party let us know how many - we'll need to confirm numbers to reserve tables in advance.

If June 16 just won't work for you but the 17th or 18th will let us know that - we'll try to settle on the date that works best for the majority of those with a definite interest.

As we did last year I'll be updating the thread with numbers and "screen ID's" of attendees as we get responses.

As usual, dinner costs are the responsibility of the individual although all are free to arrange credit card roulette, push-up bets, etc. with others.

In terms of promotion I can say it no better than DGAF's recent post from his thread:

"try to make the mhfr meet up in Vegas this year. It's become enough people where it doesn't matter if you know anyone. Plus mrs. Limon gets everyone so drunk no1 cares about anything pretty quickly and surf doc usually gives you free money on easy prop bets if you don't feel like paying for dinner out of your own pocket."

Hope a bunch of the MHFR regs can make it again this year - looking forward to hearing from you.

Limon just told me they can't do the 16th - we may need to flip to Wed the 17th or Thurs 18. Will update as soon as he gets back on which he can handle.

the next weekend or the first weekend in june are cool. the middle two weekends are beer and wine festivals for us.

So if Limon is out for this week are we going to keep the 16th or try and switch the whole week?

June 8-14 and June 20-21 are the only dates I cannot be out there. I think people should list the dates they cannot make it and then we work off that. jrr63 couldn't make it last year so we work around his sched first and foremost this year imo. Hopefully people can bend a little or cancel something or whatever if need be. Lezgo...

Sounds like Limon has firm commitments that week of June 16.

I don't think we should work around my schedule - I'm there June 16-24, but I don't have much flexibility beyond that (have to be back east the week before and after). I might be able to come back in early July, but not clear that would be better for everyone else. I'd say we pick a date that works for DGAF and just go with it.

How does thurs May 28 work? The night before colossus. Would be pretty silly to not be in Vegas during that time (whether you plan to play the event or not)...

I mean wsop is late may thru early July. Lets find a date when everyone can go. Also, this is not about me at all. I just have a lot of fun drinking with limon and mrs limon. jrr63, you are the only OMSS I have ever met- and that's awesome. zachvac is my boy and he better make it. surf doc is v chill and not just cuz he pays for my dinner by spewing off in rounders trivia. mikech is a life boss who's smarter and wiser and cooler than all of us by a lot. sknight is always ready for the strip club. etc etc etc

Also I demand jloc make it out this year. And all the other mhfr regs who haven't done it, wtf? It's literally the least tense dinner with strangers you will ever go to. And the 1-2 nl afterwards (or cigars and cocktails) is always pretty fun. Maybe this year we will finally take over a craps table, idk.

Figure it out guys. Make it happen imo.

Unfortunately the only time I have for WSOP is June 15-24 -I have "real world" travel to the east coast on both sides of it.

So let's forget about my constraints and figure out what works for the majority.

How about the first week of WSOP? Is that good for those who are interested?

K. I think it's either May 28 or June 16. People should start posting if they can make either or both of these dates. Once we get a feel for the better date we will lock it in. I will get drunk with limon or jrr63 seperately, depending on who can't make it.
