1/2 nl, ok ive had AA twice in the bb in my last 2 sessions lost both times and heres how.

first time - Hero image is t/lag raising more then most of the table but showing good hands, Villian is l/c with almost any 2 cards in postion or not, very loose passive

V($150) on btn limps, sb limps, hero(450) AA bb raise to 15, Vcall, sb fold

Flop - 753 , Hero bet 20, V call
Turn - Q, Hero bet 60, V all in 110 total, Hero call
River - 3

V shows 77, i lose..

AA in the bb round 2

Hero image just sat down young 20s with ipod on so im sure my image is always "some crazy internet kid who bluffs all the time", Villian very old just sat down as well.

Flop Q63, Hero bet 50, V call, btn fold
Turn 5, Hero bet 100, V all in, Hero call (20 more)
River 6 or 5 i forget

Villian shows 65 off suit?? i say thats un ****ing believeable and he says sry pal i had a feeling...

I used to get disheartened about this when I first started playing, I don't know how long you've been playing live poker but it seems to me you played both of these hands fine and just got bitten by variance. **** happens, aces unfortunately get cracked. Doesn't seem like you did anything wrong here, just move on and good luck in future.

I'd have bet more on draw-heavy flop on first hand, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway. Aces don't automatically entitle you to a win...people do suck out and you've gotta deal with that fact.

With massive stacks you won't lose ai's. But this shallow there's nothing you can do. You lost 2 hands, the world didn't end.

In both hands, villain called off 10% of their stack preflop with speculative hands, so it'll be a long term losing play for them. Postflop due to smallish SPR, I don't think we can do anything other than stack off on these fairly safe boards.

Hand 1 you didn't do anything wrong, you played it fine, and it was pretty standard based on the board and stack sizes. You got binked by a set, it happens.

Hand 2, basically the same situation. With this board and these stack sizes, you're playing for it all on the turn once he calls the flop. Perhaps you could make it more like $24-$27 once the ENTIRE table limps preflop.

The above bold is worth discussing. You see, when we first start learning how to be profitable we learn what is good and bad play. Bad play strikes us as "wrong" and the way human brains are wired we are wired that wrong is bad and correct is good.

Its not that far of a stretch to start associating wrong with "injustice" and right with "justice". You will often hear players say things like, "You DESERVED to lose for slowplaying..."

The other aspect is the fish psychology. You have to understand why it is that the fish would call your raise with 65o. This is an area in which most players struggle with.

You have to understand that bad players are bad because they don't understand what +EV poker is. They think poker is luck and thus, if it is luck then they see absolutely nothing wrong with calling a raise w 65o because you gotta get lucky to win right?

This is why we can value bet, raise, even overshove hands when we are super strong. Because the fish will often go all in on a draw on turn because, "Hey, its all luck and i gotta get lucky to win right?"

Now, back to the bold. Really think about your mindset and then think about fish psychology.

once you truly understand fish pyschology then you will start to see the game in a different light.

Its not about justice or right or wrong, its all about probability. The math is the math and it doesn't care about right or wrong, it is what it is. And if we are on the +EV side of the math, then the math will work out for us in the longrun. Not out of any sense of "justice" but simply because that is how the universe works.

#2: at a PF SPR of 3:1, you could not even look at the flop, and put the $ in, and you wouldn't suck (for that reason).

I think you suck.

The first part is true. The part about luck only applies to some bad players. Others make bad plays due to other type of faulty reasonings. There's different kinds of fish out there. Gotta to understand them all.

He bet 50 into a 60 pot... How much more do u want him to bet...?

I would bet less like 2/3 at most to balance your range it looks like u have AA in both hands if I'm villain

This, you have just had a couple bad variance sessions losing with AA on those boards. Suck it up and tread on... long term getting money in like you did will net you profit! Hope your aces hold up soon!
