I'm going to live in St. Petersburg for the next 5 months. I was a professional in America for a while, but I was driven out by our supposedly "free" government. I want to know everything I can about playing in St. Petersburg while I am there. Where can I play? What are the player tendencies there? What types of games to they normally play? I know online play is free, and I will enjoy that while I am there, so I'm mainly asking about live cash games.

Saint-P is the most beautiful russiam city. But since offline poker is illegal in Russia, you can only play legal games on a special cruise ship on fridays and saturdays.

Hi! Because poker is illegal from Russia, players are not very sweet, and game is little basically. 5-10, 10-20, 25-50 RUB. NLHE almost didnt play, plays in Crazy pineaple, Dealer Choice and other. MTT is very inexpensive, structure is awful, blinds 20 min, starting stack 50bb. You can play for fun, make a lot of money does not.
P.S. It is in illegal poker clubs.

Помню когда в первый и последний раз играл в покер в Питере и проигрался нехило... Потом дома жена мне устроила "Разборку питерскую" =)
