Horoshii vapros! (great question!)
Unfortunately the mainstream press in the US has a lot of people, especially those of the left-leaning variety, convinced that Fox is totally biased for the right wing while the others are all middle-of-the road impartial news sources, which is absolutely 100% incorrect.
Fox is for sure biased toward a pro-US, right-leaning laisse-faire type of capitalism, that's actually true, but CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, Wash Post etc. (indeeed most of all of the historical mainstream US media) is completely and utterly biased, mostly to the left, on almost all topics, from abortion to religion to government regulation to the environment whatever. Something like 90+ percent of all US journalists are Democrats, and typically vote Democratic (well not on Fox!). The BBC is just as bad in England, and most of the European mainstream media has a total soft-left outlook that completely colors their views of most issues (for example, they treat radical Islam and Islamofascim within their own borders with kid-gloves, or the BBC covers South Africa as a "Burgeoning democratic country struggling to find it's path whereas it's really a reverse-racist (towards all non-South African blacks, including those who come from other African countries) corrupt kleptocracy with incredible amounts of crime).
In the US it's particularly awful how the mainstream press fawned over Obama and ignored his lack of experience, dubious friends and relationships, and the wacky, fairly racist religion he followed for all those years. I guess anything would be an improvement over Bush, but the way it went down in the US is like something out of a High School PC popularity contest - almost Banana Republic bad and really pathetic.
The sad thing really is that the average American posts something like this as a question but the question itself is so completely wrong an naive that there is really no way to answer it. We live in a completely whitewashed politically correct world in the US today, and much of the way the mainstream press deals with issues is reminiscient of how Pravda covered Russia way back in the Soviet Union era.
As for RT, it definitely has an anti-US bent, but it's kind of interesting and does now (in 2011-2012) tend to attack real issues about the US that the average American doens't think about (like why do we spend something like 80% of the world's military budget, and have troops stationed still in places like Germany and various other countries, or say how free we are but you can't drive 45 in a 25 MPH zone or drink a beer on the street in public without getting arrested (that would NOT work in Russia!
