I'm 99.9% certain it's a false positive in his spyware detection program.

almost certainly a false positive. because PT3 is likely attaching to a window handle, it probably looks like a keylogger.
there's always the chance that some virus has attached itself to postgres, but I'd say that's remote.

I agree, especially since everybody having this issue (and I've heard of 3 or 4) are using the same spyware detection program.
