Does anyone have a poker tracker for the Merge Network?

The Merge network does not allow for tracking applications to be used, so no PokerTracker application will support them until such time as they change their stance. We will not support sites that do not approve of the using of our program.

These all claim they don't violate the Merge T&C and that they have confirmation from the sites.

That was the last news I'd had on the issue. If they've changed their stance we are certainly willing to revisit the topic; the only sites we will not support are those (Cake is another, and they're much more adamant about it) that do not want us.

Right now we are adding support in the order of popularity listed on PokerScout. We will be having Entraction and Microgaming support available in Beta 26, but I'll make sure we look into Merge's stance when it's time.

i have all holdemindicator, omahaindicator and tournamentindicator can confirm they work on merge..

but one thing they suc.. hard when you multitable there..only good for 2 tables max there or they start to freeze..

as for the mergeconverter i dont think that works anymore..apperently it did work before but not anymore that whats forums says..

same question asked at holdemmanager forums and the admins there say the converter dont work anymore..

The converter works perfectly, you are confused with another persons converter that was out some months ago but was never updated when Merges hand histories were changed.

You can try out the trial on the site.

Btw, I have been in contact recently with Merge over whether tracking software is allowed and they have confirmed the converter and tracking software is allowed. If you doubt this then feel free to contact their support and they will confirm.

Does Carbon Poker (Merge site) still interpret the policy differently for their brand? They had said at one time none of this was allowed.

I've been in contact with the Carbon customer support manager. They had initially decided to prohibit tracking software but changed their minds on the decision about 7 days ago. They have also updated their T+C's to reflect this.
The converter and tracking software is allowed network wide.

You can mail their Carbon support and they will confirm it is allowed.

Thanks for your updates, I've made the development team of PT3 aware of the change. Given our current manner of adding sites, after Prima/Microgaming and B2B/Entraction support is added in Beta 26, Merge would then be roughly 5th on our list.

ok so i downloaded the trial version to test this out did not work for me, didnt convert nothing..just got a windows error message when i did try, and also i put the auto import in hem on and from file mergeconverter after doing the setup just as stated on the homepage nothing happening, hud and import dont get anyfiles..

so any suggestions?

When you downloaded did you right click and choose extract all files, that sounds like the problem, and just in case, were they definitely cash hand histories you were converting as the converter doesn't convert STT/MTT's atm.

Can you send me the error and a screenshot of the error you are getting to info@mergeconverter.com (as this is PT thread and prob shouldn't be used for HM questions plus I'm not on 2+2 very often) and I'll take a look and get back to you.

ok thanks ill try again tomorrow and extract all files again just in case i might only have exctracted the main client file..

if this dosent work ill send u screenshoot at ure site, is just those normal irritating windows vista error messages that seems to come way to often lol

is defiently cash:)

Any update on this? I'd like to buy it if it works & is allowed at CarbonPoker.

MergeConverter works and is allowed on the Merge network including Carbon. Have a look at the trial and add me on msn if you have any problems info@mergeconverter.com

I've been looking into STT/MTT support and the buyin info isn't anywhere in the hand histories so it looks like only cash games will be supported atm.

I've just completed omaha cash game testing and that will added in the next day or two.

I contacted customer support at Carbon Poker today and they told me they still do not allow the use of Poker Tracker and other tracking/analysis programs. Other Merge sites might allow them but Carbon Poker still doesn't.

Update: Carbon Poker emailed me later in the day and said the following:

"Sorry for the previous response. It is not quite correct.

We do not have any rules against the usage of tracking programs on our site."

We're currently fixing bugs to get Build 5 out - after that more new sites and features will be added. I don't think Merge is quite at the top of the list, but it shouldn't be far away.
We're adding sites roughly in the order of www.pokerscout.com.
Bodog and Cake will be next.

so i have a question for the owner of mergeconverter

how do you configure HEM or PT3 to track and use the HUD on carbon? or do HUDS not work? help with either software in terms of setup for use on carbon would be great tyvm sir

Hi Tampaz,

You can download the trial from http://mergeconverter.com/trial.html

After extracting the files in the download, follow the instructions in the HowTo file and you should be able to get it up and running with PT3/HM
Hud will only work on HM though using the table finder.

If you have any problems with the setup, pm me or email me and I'll sort it.

Hey guys

I just purchased the convertor and it works very well. I had a few issues getting the HUD aligned with the correct players, but that probably more to do with holdem manager then the convertor- and i managed to get it sorted in the end.

If you play on the Merge Network - this is the only way to go - highly recommended. Customer service also seems excellent. Emailed them about an issue I was having (as a result of not reading the installation instructions) and got a response within 30min.

I purchased Merge Converter a few weeks ago.
To be able to see HUD stats was awesome.
Also, it's far easier to keep session results and run reports.

This is a must have for anyone who wants to play more tables.
Support has been top notch as well IMO.
The price is very fair when you consider what you get for your money.

My & my wife use it for Carbon. The mergeconverter works great. If you are playing at Carbon & have HEM or PT3 it's a MUST have. :cool:

Sweet, another $40 I have to shell out in order to stay afloat with the competition.

I hope Cake never sells out and allows trackers. I am trialing PT3 for the use at PS, FT, and now Carbon, and I love it don't get me wrong, but I also enjoy playing on the Cake Network knowing that no one is using a HUD. There needs to be a place to play on the internet where you can escape the HUD/tracking players, and I hope Cake stays that way forever.

Its nice to keep that "edge" against the competition, but it is getting awfully expensive to maintain that "edge" (I use quotes because using tracking/HUD does not give you an edge anymore since everyone has one. They just keep you at the same level as the rest of the competition) imo.

Cake recently changed their stance to allow trackers, but not HUDS as I understand it.
Cake will be one of the next 2 sites to be added to PT3 (as tracker only, no HUD).
