Hey... I downloaded PT3 trial, figured out how to set up the postgresql crap.. figured out how to important my hands. But I have no idea how to use the hud. Someone please help me and please don't just direct me to the user guide. I must be stupid or something cause I can't get a hud to work. By the way the HUD I've been trying is pokerace, but I think I may have tried a few others without success.

There is a hud included in PT3, which should work for the sites supported in PT. So, which room are you playing at? Also, check to see if the Hud is set up to be starting automatically (beneath where you select start hand import). The Hud should start after you participate in a few hands. It needs to collect data before it starts, so it can take a little while.

Cheers,
Geert

PAHud does not work with PT3 - as grtz says PT3 has a built in HUD.
I will link you to the HUD Guides in the Documentation - if you have any specific questions feel free to ask, but the guides explain the basics of getting the HUD working.

The hud just doesnt work at all....... I have 'start automaticly' enabled. The hud doesnt pop up... i've tried it for a number of sites, poker stars, full tilt and party poker. I am just lost. I usually have no problem operating computer software. If someone can help me troubleshoot thru this please add me to msn.

Do you have hands auto importing successfully?
Please check the PT3 Importing FAQ and PT3 HUD FAQ.

If you still have problems please submit a Bug Report so that we can check your configuration and get you sorted out.

If you can't find the answer in the FAQs then please create a support ticket and we'll help you that way - there's no way for me to know what's wrong without seeing what's going on on your computer, which is what the log files will tell us.

I'm having the same issue. I just down loaded the trial and can't get the hud to work. also it doesn't seem to be down loading any hands. I 've also checked the auto import and read all the links. The only help they seem to give here is posting links I have read. NOT a very good trial if it DON'T work!!!!

The HUD won't work until you have hands auto importing.
The links we give answer most of the common problems, so please give us a bit more detail about your problem.
What site are you playing at?
Are the hand history files being written by the site?
Have you got PT3 configured to read from the folder they're being written to?
Are you using Vista? Do you have both PT3 and the site set to run as Administrator?

Now we're getting someone where:

Full Tilt
Not sure what to do
Not sure how do I check
Yes, Vista. How do I set both to Administrator?

When I first downloaded the trial ver. I saw the files download I assumed it would continue. HUD never did work. There is not a tech phone number to call? I think if I can get the trial to work I would purchase.

Please see the Full Tilt Configuration Guide - this explains how to set Full Tilt up to write hands, and how to configure PT3 to import them.
To see if the hand histories are being written, use "My Computer" to view the folder you configure Full Tilt to write them to.

The FAQs linked above have a link to the information about running as Administrator:
ATTENTION: Windows VISTA users, you must read this...

We don't have the resources for telephone support, sorry.
We'll get you sorted out, though.

If you still have trouble after following the links in this post please read the FAQs too:

If you're still stuck tell us what you do have working and we'll give you the next step to check.

I have looked and changed all the setting and get the error:
2009/09/02 20:17:21: Auto-Import beginning
2009/09/02 20:17:21: Full Tilt: Starting auto-import.
2009/09/02 20:17:21: Full Tilt: Found 0 files to monitor.

Please look in the folder that you have configured Full Tilt to write the hand histories to and see if any files are being written.
If not then there is nothing for PT3 to import.

Note that Full Tilt no longer write hand histories for observed tables so you will need to be actually playing for this to work.
