Im not sure Stox/CR had any HU speacialists after bryce..

MisterBunny and Ballzdeepx 6max videos were fantastic at CR but not sure they play much HUHU or obv make vids after BF.

Im reading between the lines a little, but from what i understand, the market for HUHU content is so small that im not sure you will see much quality content anytime soon from any coaching site.

Most people want to see 6max, therefore i highly doubt any quality HUHU coach will be offered enough $$ to make doing a series worthwhile..

I kind of have the same question. Im not looking for videos but a coach who can help me with my game (not build up from the start but rewire me and get refocussed). Does anyone know any good mid limit HU coach at all?

Wrong question? The best coach for hu limit is Flopzilla and his cousin Cardrunners EV imo. I don't know what a coach or a video could ever teach you. Maybe I'm projecting my own way of learning onto others but I'm often skeptical of the teaching professions, and even among all the others poker coaching stands out as something superfluous and not just because of the $1000 an hour reported rates.

sure, studying on your own is of course going to be useful.

saying a coach or video couldn't teach anything is silly.

different people learn in different ways. i work on stuff on my own, but also watch videos, talk strategy with other players, read forums, etc. it seems pretty reasonable to me that lots of people would have different percentages of those components (and other things) add up to their overall study/learning time.

i've never heard of $1000/hr and that number seems pretty out there. most coaches i know of in the limit holdem community are/were from like $75 - $250 hr or so, and that includes guys who've done well at mid and high stakes, like ontherail15, deepsquat, etc. i'm less familiar with non-dc sites so maybe someone can chime in with what the rates are/were of respected guys like johnnyrocket and other mainly-hu players on those sites. of course, there's less activity in lhe and in the coaching community and so on since black friday, and hu lhe in general is/was already declining, so maybe the issue is less pressing than it used to be.

Saying it couldn't teach you anything is too extreme. I should have said that after you get to a certain point, when major leaks are plugged, I think it's probably better to try to learn on your own so that you really own the concepts, rote learning in poker is not useful beyond a certain point imo.

I think all the other areas you mentioned are very important as well, reading especially.
