Randomize who gets the button first
I think this would be an awesome idea... Poker sites, please start doing this. I mean, whoever sat down at the table first should not get button first just because he happened to be first in at the table. At any B&M casino there is a drawing for the button when a game starts.

Re: Randomize who gets the button first
pretty sure merge draws cards for button in hu sng, so I would imagine it would be easy enough to implement for cash games.

Re: Randomize who gets the button first
Players could still abuse this 50% of the time if they wanted. Sites could just make it so that anyone who only plays their SB gets charged a BB.

Re: Randomize who gets the button first
I'd say no thanks I like getting it first every game on stars but self interest aside yes of course good idea. Do merge not do it now? And party does, only a couple of abusers, complaints produced a temp ban and no more offences since so if sites do their bit then this shouldn't be an issue

Re: Randomize who gets the button first
I think it would be fun if they spread five cards out on the table. Then each player picks one. The higher card gets the button first. You could even offer bets on the cut.

Re: Randomize who gets the button first
The main idea is that with this feature, regs will have to play regs to survive. Lately, I am thinking this is awesome in current environment.

How they can abuse it? Once you say "post" it will either post SB or BB, there is no way back. Also, once two players played a hand, no ranodomization will happen for those two players within, say, next 15 minutes.

If you get the SB you quit after 1 hand, if you get the BB you quit after 2 hands, so can still abuse it 50% of the time.
Why not randomize *every* huhu button? It would give the game a slightly different dynamic, but is it any worse? It would take (relatively) very very little time for it to "even out in the long run"

Re: Randomize who gets the button first
O is that what you meant armor? Interesting but I doubt sites would do that, would just confuse the fish and give them one more thing to think is rigged against them when they get 3 bbs in a row, if they're even aware of the difference.

The only abuse I can see, if it's a fixed short time window (n minutes), would be to quit against a park-and-sit reg when I'm due to pay BB. Come back n+1 later. Now I have 50/50 to get the SB.
In general I think the idea is good.

Re: Randomize who gets the button first
Abusing the button is a BIG problem on partypoker anonymous tables. Not a day goes by when I sit at my table and some reg joins and buttons me (or sits out if he doesnt get the button). Usually a couple of times per day. It is extremely frustrating. Cant really email support because I dont know who is doing it. And even if I did, party doesnt seem to do anything about it anyways (they didnt when I mailed them about this problem on the normal tables).

David buetta or something like that on I poker sits at all tables from 10-20 up to 50-100 plays one hand and leaves. When u sit with him. As on I poker button is given to first person that is sat at the table.. I joined 5 of his tables and he raises every hand and if he wins he leaves and if he loses he stays...very frustrating.

That's a pretty amazing idea the more I think about it.
Also it wouldn't have to be a completely random flip it could be arranged so that it trends towards 50-50 faster, the main point just being that it makes playing the button only harder.
