Re: ****Official HUHU NC/LC Thread for 2012****

Speaking of the moon, I like to take a look at the NASA pic of the day every once in awhile. Some days are better than others.

There's also a program called Celestia you can get where you fly all over the Universe looking at supernovas and nebulas and galaxies and stuff. I don't find a lot of time to mess around with it, but if you're in the right frame of mind it's capable of inspiring some awe.

Speaking of wheels, when I turned sixteen I wanted to buy my Grandma's Pontiac. It might have been an Astre but to be honest I've never been good with makes and models. My mother wouldn't allow it since it was such an old car so instead I got a Ford Tempo from a local dealership. It was used but much newer than the Pontiac. It was also a real lemon.

I never could figure out how to turn it into lemonade so one day I set it on fire.

LOL. It's a revisionist take on a true story.

I watched Stone earlier this evening. Pretty good movie imo.

I think I get it.
Sort of like:
How do you drive a moron crazy?
Put him in a round room and tell him to take a dump in the corner.

Re: ****Official HUHU NC/LC Thread for 2012****

This one site I play at, whenever anybody new sits me, they always ask if I want to play NO LIMIT (always in caps like that), like they think I'm lost and sat at that table by mistake. I usually say something like, "no ty." They always ask, "why?" and I always reply, "i'm all about the min-bet madness baby." A decent number of them stay and play a few hands and I've even got 3- or 4- man games running, which is huge on that site. I mean, it's rare they have more guys than that at a NL table.

One of the players on that site has the screen name "free money." I thought it was meant to be ironic the first time we played but it turns out it's an honest description.

I don't know if you follow his blog or not but I liked Angelo's most recent post. As you know, I'm clueless about live play but it sounds like good advice.

I know HUSnG guys who call nearly this wide (more like 77+, AJo+) because they think there's a population tendency to try to make a statement the first hand of the match and also because some fish basically just want to flip. It seems to me cash players would be a little more conservative but who knows.

Sometimes I miss posting strat.

Re: ****Official HUHU NC/LC Thread for 2012****

report from the stars meetings being posted, i have posted my FL report
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...eport-1159145/

The changes include large reductions in HU rake at low stakes, and HUHU rake is now applied to ring game tables. There are slight increases at 15/30+ stakes ring overall. In a couple of days we hope to post a total breakdown. Overall it's expected to be a 2.85% rake reduction across all fixed limit games.

My calling range is based on two weird things

ed millers online 6 max strat for calling open shoves from any position ( i think his is A10+ ~55+)

and playing a bunch of dam poker

probably still wrong though just cant let these chumps run me over

I do, and it's solid advice.

Looking left has saved me lots and earned me more. And I continually have to remind myself to do it more often.

Reminds me of a recent hand, in which I stacked a fish.

After fish left, the dealer said, "looked like you were about to raise. It's good to be aware, huh?"

Also, "play better" definitely trumps my pre-game thought of "play your best."

/Still miss online HUHU like the dickens.
