Hey guys. Any of you play (HU) FL on Boss Media? I used to play on Fortune Poker and just got back on the site again and noticed that their rake-structure is completely ridiculous. The lower stakes games are unbeatable. An example:

Today I played a €5/€10 session consisting of 42 hands, 6 of which were folded preflop (no drop). During these 42 hands, we paid a whopping €42.25 in rake, or €1 per hand, 20 bb/100 or 10 BB/100.

I e-mailed my VIP-contact with the above details, complaining about the rake, how it's damaging the games long-term (action is already almost completely dried up) etc. She asked me to find others who have similar complaints, so this is me asking just that. Any of you experienced this at Boss? Or maybe you have other experiences at different skins?

obviously they dont want us to play HU at their site.. which btw is a legit strategy for them

Merge really screwed the pooch on this upgrade. Great choice for US players now. One site you cant play. Another you don't get paid. Wonder if the US DOJ was behind the lock move and the Merge upgrade.

Is anyone else experiencing the total lack of hit and runs on bovada? It's like every opponent of mine drinks the koolaide!


I made 17k in May playing basically small stakes and did not encounter a single player with postflop ability. I wonder how much that is worth compared to these other sites that offer rb?


Not that I'm stupid enough to seed a 2 person table with a 4 table max but come on!

Do you have any idea what's the BB/100 rake in Bovada for 2/4$, 3/6$, 5/10$ FLHU? I ask you because these are ranging a lot in different rooms ( from 3BB/100 to 5BB+/100 at 2/4$ for example ).

If anyone reading this thread is a microstakes player/beginner I highly recommend HUsngs. They are very soft and winnings are not eaten by ridiculous rake.

I am not by any means a HUHU expert but I've played tons of those ranging mostly from $7-$30 and can only think of one player who has been giving me quite a bit of trouble.

These days when everyone says that aggression wins I have had decent success playing a somewhat passive style never capping pre and never 3betting an opponent that raises SB <~80%. I float a TON of flops and my experience tells me people respond to that very poorly at these stakes having no indication of my hand strength until turn or river. Also, not bloating pots too much pre greatly reduces variance -> gold if youre playing a bad player.

If you are a low/microstakes player there is def money to be made in these. Theres a lot of winning regs here that could never beat $1/2 huhu cashgames.

To steal from HOWMANY, you've solved poker.

Have you played more than 15, or are you 15 for 15 so far? I think I lost my first two and then won like 7 in a row. So we could collectively be 22 and 2. We could be on to something.

OTOH if you win 95% of the time, I think you're only like 46% likely to win your first 15. With merely a 60% WR (which is a pretty decent ROI), you'd be 0.047% to win your first 15. Karma? Rungood? Hard to tell.

I didn't claim I had solved poker, just posted a rungood screenshot. If any, I def expected sarcastic replies and 2p2 doesn't dissapoint.

Actually I've played a few more Doug with a winrate of around 70%. Enlighten me with my chance of winning 15 in a row with that info.
