I haven't found a CET machine higher than 2/4 -- Have you?

I spotted two machines at Hollywood Casino, Kansas City Kansas. Is this the first that they've been seen outside Las Vegas?

Re: Holdem Machine Locations

Doubt it. But you're certainly the first to report it here.

I hope you run better against the KC machine than I did against one at Aria last night.

It's usually best to only play while waiting for a seat in a live game. But it really sucks when the thing takes your profit just as they call your name.

Mofo jams two pair on the turn against a flush like he knows he will fill up.

Damn. This thing is spreading like VD in Vegas.

I haven't kept track of my winrate, but I would guess I'm about even in a limited number of hands. I could see a thoughtful player beating it at a fair clip with the right strategy and a little luck.

Whenever I walk by and see some drunk drooler (or just a dooler or just drunk) messing around, I understand why it is a money maker for the house. It's not much different from why I was able to beat HUHU online before the DoJ made me scared to play online for real money.

Re: Holdem Machine Locations

Looks like it's been removed from Flamingo, so I couldn't play baller in their high limit slot room.

Also spotted one machine in the high limit slot room at MGM, but it offered nothing less than 10/20. So I couldn't play baller there, either.

Instead, I grinded for about an hour against the machine in the back of Harrah's and pulled out a solid $6 win at 2/4, after being down about 30 big bets at the low point.

Double cheeseburger for lunch today, imo.

Have you also found the machines starting personalities differ per location?

Re: Holdem Machine Locations

It's hard to tell whether the personality traits are based on location, but last night the Harrah's machine certainly didn't raise my pf limps more than 60 percent, as would do most other places. In fact there was even one hand where it did not raise my pf limp when it held Kx. That was quite strange.

I was just wondering if you'd experimented with that at all.

Re: Holdem Machine Locations

Had it not been established (read P Newall setting out the maths) that limping pf was probably incorrect, however 'unusually' it reacted?

I agree it must be taking in a ton from the slots degens, easily making up for the rumoured actually experienced guys beating it for a proper sample size + costs.

Edit: to make this relevant to the thread - none seen in a couple of Welsh casinos. Don't laugh we have semi tough £2-4 NL going on a weekend night!
