Encore all day.

If you're feeling flush or have comps try the Tower Suites rooms, its next level. But the normal rooms are very decent. When I'm there theres so many good restaurants between Wynn and Encore that I don't even feel the need to leave the property.

Regular rooms and Tower Suite rooms are identical.

Wynn also brags about it on his quarterly corporate earnings conference calls. "We get twice the revenue from the same number of slots."

Not true. The Tower Suite hallways are painted dark brown and you have to go through a secret door to the regular part of the hotel to find the ice machine.

I've chosen Encore before for reasons already given, but actually the food isn't that great (compared to Wynn)

I haven't tried Sinatras, but 3 or 4 other people have recommended that I don't bother and nothing on the menu is encouraging me to override that advice. I used to like Society Café, decent lunch options, but that's now the poker room. I tried Jardin as a healthy café, I'd rather they brought back Botero (without the DJ)

A short walk later, a plethora of decent options awaits in the Wynn, both casual and upscale, amongst the best available anywhere on the strip. Terrace Point Café, La Cave, Allegro, Red 8, buffet, all decent. SW, Tableau, Country Club. Even Lakeside (I'm not a fish fan) does a decent steak any time you can't get a table at SW, good overflow without having to walk anywhere else.

So if $:$, I still like taking the room at Encore. But now I wrote it down, I can see why on last visit I spent 80% of food time in the Wynn.

The worst thing about Wynncore is that EVERYTHING in the hotel is absurdly overpriced, even by Vegas standards.
it's pretty easy to cram six people in a venetian room, given they have a pull out couch. Certainly did that in a previous life.

You're exactly right about stuff being over priced though. Everything is absurdly inflated from a latte to you name it.

We have given up on Wynn/Encore for exactly this reason. Last time we stayed at Wynn on the bazillionth floor on the golf course side, and it was still loud until 0300 hours, and the room next to us was packed with 3 or 4 club bros (they can buy $25 vodkas but no more than $50 hotel rooms amirite). They even would play "Turn Down For What" in their room on repeat, because they are apparently cartoon characters.

If someone tells me some cheat code to re-enable a little more sleeping at W/E, we'd be back immediately, since everything else is so excellent. Is there some special gang sign one can throw to be ushered to the special broless section of the property? Obv I'd pay more.

Stay at Encore and ask for a non strip view room. Super quiet. It's ironic because it's their cheapest room typically.

LOL, I just had a flashback to the last time I stayed at Wynn and the Jersey shore, gold chain and wife-beater wearing, hair slicked back into ponytail walking cliches that permeated the casino and poker room.

Not true, at all.

Might be dependent on which Tower Suite room you opt for. I've stayed in a 2 bed suite and friends have stayed in a ridiculous baller suite with lots of rooms. Theres different levels of rooms there. Also your own reception/checkin and a private car to take you anywhere, upgraded concierge, spa included. Albeit some of this might be down to your comps/level of play.

No. The base level regular rooms and Tower Suite rooms are identical. Floorplans are right there on the website. I wasn't talking about the baller suites or the separate check-in, and there's different levels of suites on either side anyway.

Between Wynn and Encore, I prefer Encore but if you are looking for a quiet luxurious base room with good service in Vegas, I would just go with the MO.

If you stay at Encore, beware the rooms on the south-facing side of the tower. They can get VERY loud at night from XS and even more so during the day from EBC. The tower wasn't designed with EBC's placement in mind so they're notorious for being uncomfortable for some. Encore rooms are gorgeous, but are an extra 5-10 mins of a walk from the rest of the Strip. The distance from Wynn hotel elevators to the poker room in Encore is negligible. The Encore casino is also ugly as crap now that they've removed the red glass chandeliers and put in that god awful and ridiculous players lounge that no one uses.

I was there this past weekend and me a groupo of guys stayed in the players club/lounge and watched football/ryder cup all afternnon. I thought it was a great spot to watch the games and the parade going to and from the beach club.

If you play poker, than go to the encore. In vegas right now for a short trip and went to to the new poker room at the encore for the first time and wow is it nice.

Confirmed. It's a great spot to "people watch", as is the poker room, no argument there.

Thanks for checking us out! If you played some hours you will probably qualify for the poker rate on your next trip. Just call the poker room for details.

the prices are "inflated" because the clientele they choose to market to can afford
to pay those prices.

this same clientele when playing poker will also buy-in for the table max, some multiple times, making for nice deep stacks on the felt.
