I booked Linq via Total Rewards which is the loyalty scheme for all the Caesars properties.

All bookings can be cancelled free of charge with 48/72 hour notice so I've currently got Linq (660 inc tax and resort fee 7 nights), Venetian (1350 total 7 nights) and Aria (1400 total 7 nights) bookings with decent deals I've seen over the past few weeks. If a better deal appears I just cancel the booking and re-book with the cheaper deal. All US$

End goal is Wynn/Encore but they are still at 1660 so am not blinking yet
I wouldn't hold your breath on Wynncore getting much cheaper.

On CET hotels, you should keep checking TR every day. Sometimes people cancel or whatever and prices drop. They will give you the lower price if you call. BTW don't underestimate the value and cost of ground transport. If you're mostly going to be playing at the Rio but it's $15 a night more, you'll save more than that in transportation costs. If you rent a car and don't have a good tier standing you'll be paying lots of money just to park. They don't even cut you a break if you're staying at the hotel. Rio is one of the few that won't be charging parking fees.

Very good fun, very boozy and a good bunch of guys whose SNs you'll know from PG&C and the live cash forums. We generally get 2 tables and play all sorts of silly games

There's an open Vegas thread in the llsnl forum if you want to check it out and potentially sign up

yes, I agree but...I just can't face staying at the Rio.

When I got the Linq deal, Rio was showing on TR for $29 per + tax & resort and the rooms are huge and it would save my last minute rush that happens ever fing MTT morning without fail, but f that - it's a holiday for me, not just a poker trip and I want to be on the Strip and not in a dingy **** hole with hundreds of euros in scarves

so I'll be paying extra for cabs (and probably spending the extra $$ to stay at the V or Aria), so I may just have to bink a decent mtt to cover my costs

you're 100% correct on checking TR every day. Prices change substantially. Only issue is that once you've got a booking, they won't show you the discounted rates at other properties for the same dates. But if you call the number, they'll let you know if you can save

shame there's no way for you to book me at Aria with your card and you could take over my Linq booking!

I'm kind of the opposite. I spend all my time on daily deepstacks and STS's. I can play cash games any time of the year, but the above only at WSOP time. But for me, Rio prices were substantially higher than Ballys/Harrahs/Linq so I'm going to be driving back and forth a lot.

I'm glad I spent a month a year back when rates were reasonable. I used to get multiple weeks in Polo Towers or one of the other timeshares for $299 per week/1bd full kitchen. Then the stupid EDC got popular and suddenly Vegas at 115 degrees became fashionable. I went every year from 2007-2014.

Time was we were the only ones who wanted to be in Vegas in June. Sounds like the slumlords found a way to jack the rates.

Keep calling around, even after you book and check for lower prices. Usually have good luck if you call back every 4 days to try to modify your reservation.

Managed to bounce around the strip for my 10 days
3 nights at Rio
2 nights at Encore (suite)
5 nights at Linq

Only paying for one night currently for $65 bucks at the Linq. Just called today and moved my location from Caesers for 3 free and two paying nights into 5 nights at the Linq that wasnt available last week.

(Havent been to Vegas in 2 years but being a member of all the rewards programs keeps the offers coming, so sign up if you havent yet!)

Still hoping I can squeeze another night out of the Encore.
