On CET hotels, you should keep checking TR every day. Sometimes people cancel or whatever and prices drop. They will give you the lower price if you call. BTW don't underestimate the value and cost of ground transport. If you're mostly going to be playing at the Rio but it's $15 a night more, you'll save more than that in transportation costs. If you rent a car and don't have a good tier standing you'll be paying lots of money just to park. They don't even cut you a break if you're staying at the hotel. Rio is one of the few that won't be charging parking fees.
yes, I agree but...I just can't face staying at the Rio.
When I got the Linq deal, Rio was showing on TR for $29 per + tax & resort and the rooms are huge and it would save my last minute rush that happens ever fing MTT morning without fail, but f that - it's a holiday for me, not just a poker trip and I want to be on the Strip and not in a dingy **** hole with hundreds of euros in scarves
so I'll be paying extra for cabs (and probably spending the extra $$ to stay at the V or Aria), so I may just have to bink a decent mtt to cover my costs
you're 100% correct on checking TR every day. Prices change substantially. Only issue is that once you've got a booking, they won't show you the discounted rates at other properties for the same dates. But if you call the number, they'll let you know if you can save
