The travel, jetlag and effects of long hours at work recently caught up with me yesterday, and I was asleep in my room by 8.30pm.

On a Friday night.

In Las Vegas.

Not exactly baller.

The flip side of that is that it is now 2.15am and I'm wide awake and primed for a day at the felt. Time to go and see how benevolent the partygoers, drinkers and weekend warriors are being with their chips down in the Bellagio poker room.

That's a first. Limped pot, button folds, BB bets $15, one caller and button decides to call, throws in 3 red chips, completely forgetting he fact that he's already folded.

On a flop of 456, SB checks, I bet $20 from BB (half pot) with middle set. UTG calls and SB calls. Turn J, I check, first caller bets $65, other player flats and I flat. River T, and SB leads for $200. I fold and UTG jams, to which he's called. SB has the flopped straight with 78, the other had bottom set of 4s.

I've noticed other poker rooms were putting rake chips into pots too. Apparently it's a thing now.

Ouch. I 4-bet to $110 with AK, cbet $95 on a A74ssx flop and then jam $300 on a 2s turn. I get called by QQ because "I don't have think you have the ace" and the board four flushes to hit his Q spades.

Ok, I'm now officially not running the worst at this table. New guy sits down and opens for $40 UTG. UTG+1 3bets to $110. UTG calls. Flop is A74 and UTG leads for $220. UTG+1 calls. Turn 3 and UTG jams, snap called by UTG+1 with a set of aces. River 6 and other player starts doing the full "Woohoo" **** and turns over 75 for the gutter ball.

Not quite there yet but getting closer to getting unstuck. MP opens for $15, one caller and I call from SB with 86cc. BB makes it $50, both other players call so I tag along. I check to the pre-flop 3 bettor who jams for $148 on a KT7ccx flop, and I get there on the 2c turn. In for $1300 and $1050 in front.

Whats up with Vegas and the turbulence? Both times i've visited Vegas its been some crazy turbulence, first time it was so severe that some 40 y/o guy started to freak out and just screamed haha..

Anyhow, GLGL !

I limp AA UTG+1, two callers and button makes it $35. SB calls and I bump it to $135. First limper calls with a further $600 effective behind. One fold and button also calls with only $50 behind. SB tank folds. Flop is KKQ and I have no idea what I should do considering the action. Betting folds out better hands and checking lets worse hands push me off. Because I'm a fish, I check.

Next guy checks also and button jams for her last $50. Flat or raise? I make it $140, being prepared to fold to a raise, but he lets it go. Turn is the third King, river a ten and my AA is good. She has TT and the other guy said he had JJ.

Next hand I have AQ on a Q high flop and give some back to an AK hand that turned broadway.

In the summer the desert floor gets heated big time. It makes for lots of hot air that rises in uneven clumps. I saw one Texas gal (hotter than hell) that was flying for the first time and it scared her ****less.
