This is my 7th or 8th trip to the WSOP and the first time I have played a Daily Deepstacks event. The upside is the massive field and very attractive prize money for a really deep run. Downside is clearly the very fast structure needed to finish the tournament in a day. Another downside is that it takes 30 minutes to get paid because of the queues and i.d. check process at WSOP - for a $350 profit, that's a touch frustrating.
Structure wise, the events at PH, GN and Aria are much better, but value-wise, perhaps the Daily Deepstacks at WSOP do come out on top. All depends on how you measure value I guess.
I'm sure at some stage, I'll play one again. I prefer cash games normally and they are more suited to my game, and they're also what funds my WSOP trips and tournament shot taking. And we all dream of big scores and that is the lure or tournaments, right? For buy-ins in this price range, nothing else offers bigger prize pools.
Short answer is yes, I'll probably play one again. But it is likely to always be because I fancy a change of pace on the day, and unlikely to ever be something I build a schedule around.
