Also realize that your probability goes up as you go down the scale.
A 7 guy has a 50% chance of hooking up with an 8 girl, but he has a 75% chance of hooking up with a 7 and a 90% chance of hooking up with a 6.
See that 23 yr old Blonde over there with the 40DDs, daisy duke ass, and model face. Yeah, don't even waste your time. Who you really need to chase is the girl sitting next to the blonde. The 31 yr old brunette with respectable 34B and nice smile. That is the girl to rock your world.
Or, you can waste the whole night talking with the 23 yr old bobble head with nothing to show for your efforts than a case of blue balls and when you ask for her number she THEN tells you she has a boyfriend. Of course, after you've paid for the drinks.
Although this thread is mostly comic, your advice is absolutely spot-on.
I'm a widower who, after a 32 year marriage, was suddenly back in the hunt. Talk about a steep learning-curve! However, I threw caution to the wind and just put myself out there. Thus, I met and dated several women over a seven month period until I met my new bride.
Every one of the women I met, including my new wife, told me the same thing about guys they met, i.e., that they they had to be comfortable with the "vision" of how they would look with those men.
My experience certainly gives credence to your advice about concentrating on women who are in your "range."
