Katana and I made the walk from mandalay bay to el cortez on many occasions... no scare

I think I am going to go try out the steak house tonight... providing I can get in with no reservations.

Will report.

Probably almost double. I remember walking from Encore to Planet Hollywood once and I wanted to die. It took forever. I couldn't imagine downtown to Mandalay Bay.

I checked it and it's 5.1 miles surprisingly, but Encore to PH especially in harsh wind/cold or the sun would be pretty brutal. I walked from Luxor to Palms once upon a time but was mostly indoors from Lux to Bellagio north valet so that helped a lot and it was like February so decent time of year still got sweaty though.

We did morning walks... 6-7am. Great times, sometimes degenerated into roulette or craps walks where we hit ever casino all the way to downtown.

Well... the Circus Circus steakhouse is still legit after all these years.
Its certainly not a inexpensive as I remember it... a lobster tail was 58$ and the aged ribeye was about 60$. Diner for two came in around 200$+ with an jumbo shrimp appetizer and a few drinks that consistented mainly of Chopin Vodka Martinis.

I would definetely go back...

Indeed the poker room is defunked and has been replaced with a players card and guest services counter... the suck.

It actually looks like they cleaned up the facility recently... its still the same old school casino with a very diverse caliber of patron, but it seems slightly cleaner and fresher.

That morning walk sounds awesome Mike and thanks for the TR to the steakhouse! I'll try it after all these years next time I'm in town

At that price point it seems especially moot. That's CUT/Delmonico price.

Yeah... I was a bit surprised at the pricing. Certainly its in heady company at that price point.

Not even close.

The CC steak comes with soup or salad, choice of potato side and a veggie side.
At Cut you have to be happy that salt and pepper are free.

Do they actually troll dumpsters to get the garbage for the salad, or is it just simulated garbage?

If that is a bone in ribeye that is a small stake, but that is a good deal either way.

I'd posit that there's no such thing as a 10oz bone-in.

No bone..and it seemed bigger than 10 ozs..more like 12-14.

$59 is really a great value for all the delicious food and unlimited wine.

Some other reviews for their Prix Fixe on Yelp..

Isn't that the one that's basically a club inside? I know there's a reason I've never been there. At that price point I might invest in earplugs though.

I wouldn't say it's club-like crazy, but definitely not a fine dining atmosphere.
