Haven't seen recent trip reports from either of them..any summer Vegas poker trips planned?

Right after I posted this I saw Ivin's post in the casual dining thread..lol..

I really enjoyed their threads the past couple of years..hope they do another..

Last I heard Julian was fighting drunk euro recs at graveyard 1/3nl, but thats none of my business (insert kermit meme)

Last time I was in Vegas was for Christmas with my Filipino family and the gf. Didn't think it was TR worthy.

10 hour drive from the Bay... dad drove some of the way.

Gf and I stayed at SLS at the rebranded W wing.
Aunt and Uncle at Venetian.
Mom and Dad at Harrahs. (Mom insisted)

Ate at Hachi, Chada, Monta and some lower key places.

Used $400 free bet at SLS. Hedged and got like 275 or something.

Highlight of the trip:
Witnessing my mom touching the digital chinese babies on the penny slots screens for good luck and because they giggle at her.

I'll be back in two weeks though... not sure if I'm gonna TR.

I saw NCJ at the Tahoe Circuit event in Nov. He seemed a bit more mature. Maybe the girfriend had something to do with it.

That was year before last right when we got together, but yeah been working on the maturity part for sure, had to start sometime

Don't remember what kind of update I last gave or where to start, but moving here has definitely worked out and I'm very glad I did, as far as not updating or continuing a blog etc it's just too much work (although it's definitely been entertained)

That being said my poker life has been all over the place, I've gone from playing mostly 2/5 and getting staked for it when I first moved here to playing/shot taking as big as 50/100 plo and short handed 25/50 plo with players as known as jungleman (he asked me about a couple spots and my ego went through the roof lol)

I can usually be found at whatever mid+ stakes plo game is running in Vegas, and in the occasional NL two card game trying to remember how to play it

played some nl/plo mix i believe 10/25 at mgm national harbor with northcaljew i think in december shortly after opening. had his g/f there, super cool guy, lots of drinking early in the morning and seemed to have been crushing when i was there.

I was there all of January, blasting some nights for sure, gj at being nice to the fish 😃

It's Gary...starts with a V. Depending on who you talk to to he's either a genius or a snake oil salesman. Started his career by transforming his dads wine business, selling online before almost anyone else. Bright guy. Gonna be living in summerlin. A buddy happened to just move there a month ago and has a spare room which I scooped up for 600 for the full series. It's unfurnished but it'll do. I still have the air mattress I used for my first summer in the desert when I lived with Jew lol.

Since I'm arriving a little early I'm gonna take a couple of days to relax, staying at SLS for two nights and enjoying the strip. Maybe grab some tapas with Katana and Jew!

Solo drive but really no problems at this hour. Just listening to some podcasts makes the drive a lot easier.

Just checked in. Really easy drive. Saw an overturned truck on the 15 in the opposite direction. Other than that, nothing worth mentioning.
