I know what you mean about the 40 lbs as that's around the amount I put while I have been in Vegas.

Funny you should mention the oven because I tell my friends back East if they want to feel Vegas in the summer is like is turn on the oven and stick your head in there. I have had some friends come out from Orlando and say it's hotter here but when I am down there the humidity makes it way worse but I guess it all depends on what your used to. Just let me know if you want to play when you make it out here. Plus I can let you know where and when we are playing.

Was that the league at that Skate Station Funworks rink? I played in that league from '02 to '05 while I went to UF. Good times, lot of fighting for a roller hockey league back then haha!

Wow you know about Mr. Lumme I am impressed. I used say his name all the time in the old days that's how I got my nickname of Lumme. You should come down and play so we can talk about other old NHL players with great names.

We will also be playing at the UNLV Rec Center on Wed from 7pm to 9pm.

Everybody who is playing should park in the parking garage which is just West of the rec center toward Tropicana Ave. Both the parking garage and rec center are just Southeast of Cox Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center.

Since we are now playing inside to beat the heat there will be a charge of $10 for a day pass. You could also purchase a monthly membership for $25 per month. There is no need to sign a contract. There will also be a $20 one time fee for a UNLV ID Card. You will only need the UNLV ID Card if you sign up for a monthly membership. Please don't forget that you can use anything in the Rec Center for any payment option you choose. So you money you are paying is for more than just to play hockey.

It's a great group of guys of all skill levels and ages. Everybody is welcome we have a lot of fun out there plus it is a great way to stay or get in shape. Best of all it is all free and won't cost you anything other then some sweat and effort.

We have the nets and hockey balls all you need to bring is your stick and 2 shirts one black or dark navy and one white. We should even have some extra sticks if needed most of the time.

Trying to get a 2nd game going during the week at Gardens Park. As of right now not exactly sure what day it will be. Currently we still play Sunday's from 10 am to 1 pm and Wed from 7:30 to 10 pm. Starting time would be 7:30 pm to 10 pm. Let me know if you are interested in playing as we can use another few players. Just want to make sure we have enough guys so there are at least a couple of subs on each side. If you have any questions please let me know.

Cool, I used to play this a ton as a teenager but haven't played in the longest time. I'm interested.

This sounds like a ton of fun I remember playing floor hockey in gym back in high school, good times. We'd play for about a week or so every winter don't think we ever made a the whole week without at least one fight.

Yeah we don't have any such problems here as it is a great group of guys. It is really fun for me even after all these years.

Played with the Las Vegas Street Hockey team yesterday in Anthem. It's a great group with a mix of skill levels. There were several first time players including Stanley Cup winner and 20 year pro player Pokey Reddick!

Anyone interested should definitely come check it out
