I'm planning to enter the John Lennon songwriting contest in all 12 categories this year and I need some vocalists to help record the demos. Daliman has helped with a few, but I also need a female vocalist and a male with a lower register.

If there are any Vegas locals out there that can sing gimme a yell and we'll record a song or two.

My cousin sings for a living and likes doing side projects;He may be willing to help... Any compensation for the time?

Well, there are some conflicting factors at work regarding the payment issue:

1. Every time I've offered money to a musician to play with/for me (dozens of times, maybe a hundred), they either suck or flake... without exception. I don't think I have a single good note of music recorded that I paid for.

2. Every time somebody has made good music with me, they have either volunteered or it just happened organically.

However, I am more than happy to pay for a skilled vocalists' time. So if somebody is awesome and wants to be paid for their time, I will pay them pretty much whatever they want.

PM me your cousin's contact info or maybe a way to hear his work. If it's a good fit I'll pay whatever his customary rate is.

I'm guessing you are either a musician or engineer then? If so I could use some help with overdubs and/or mixing. The vocal tracks are the first priority though.
