Rep on the phone started to ask about IP, I passed. Was an IP regular for almost 15 years, until 2 years ago. Finally decided that the same TVs from the 90's weren't going to cut it. Maybe they have a better setup for you this year but our last year there (2009) there were some serious cutbacks due to economy.

IP was a great place for us to sit together but over time lack of quality TVs (hello...HD??) and long lines forced us to move. Lasting in IP for 10+ years you can tell our standards weren't that high - hope they've improved some things for you!

PS Don't knock the Burger Palace....cheeseburgers weren't bad IMO. Enter buffet at your risk.

Damn. I have never been to IP so I didn't know they sucked. Hopefully they just have projectors in a separate area like PH

Palazzo food is pretty expensive, but even so, that's a lot of food. I think if I went in there, I'd bring a pocketful of baggies and order a gross of Buffalo wings.

This looks pretty awesome. For 150 a person? Not bad

Call the 702# that's listed in the above link for details on IP....the rep I talked to on the phone seemed to know what was going on with PH & the IP. I just didn't want to hear about the IP.

In the past years IP had their banquet rooms outside the buffet and down the hall from Sportsbook setup. Maybe they're doing something new (?).

Not as far as I can tell. Learned about it on the phone when I called about PH.

Best place to watch the game is from.... THE POKER ROOM.

Most poker rooms have many TVs, are right next to the sports book...and drinks are free (Tip the waitress $1)

Cheers,

S

Will be in Vegas Mar 13-17...guy trip.

Been looking up lots of the March Madness stuff.

Did cosmo have this last year? If anyone went, how was it? Looks appealing with drinks all day for $50:

Re: Vegas during the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament

This year will be my third in a row. I have been staying at IP and hitting the books at MGM. We like their room a lot. I usually play poker all night and hold spots for the boys as soon as it opens.

I'll be out Mon Mar 12 - Mon Mar 19 this year. Attending the Nightclub & Bar Show the first 3 days.

Cosmo $50 open bar from 8am until the last game (930ish on thurs and friday) (4:30-6ish on saturday and sunday) might be the winner so far. 12+ hours of open bar on Thurs and Friday for $50 is pretty insane value.

No wonder they're going broke. If true that's ridiculously under-priced.

holy balls, great info. We're staying at Palazzo but haven't made plans yet beyond where we're sleeping off the hangovers. This seems like a winner.
