I've given 23 rides and rated all my passengers 5 stars and one 3 star. Got tipped 3x only. Not expecting tips with uber and I'm fine with it

Is this actually true? Every uber ride I've had during surge pricing has been accurate for me...

It would be weird if you were expecting tips. One of the reasons to use Uber is that they advertise that tipping isn't necessary.

Three of your riders must have been geniuses if they figured out the mechanism for tipping.

Out of curiosity, how much have you netted after the safe ride fee and the 25%, how many miles have you put on your car and how many hours (total, including cleaning and gassing up) in are you on those 23 rides?

It is going to take a while for them to estimate how much time rides will take in Vegas. There are times when a ride that normally takes 10 minutes takes 20.

Said I had to wait a few weeks they were only taking people who signed up in advance

I'm 23.5 hours in and after gas, 25% to uber and depreciation I'm at $20.40 an hour

I asked my first driver how he was doing since I knew uber was new to Vegas. he told me he made $1200 over two days. I told him to gtfo and he opened up his app for me. saw it with my own eyes. was over 70 rides and he said he got a few surge rides.

That's not even possible. Even at 30 hours over two days he would need over 2 rides per hour at $20

all I saw was 1266.xx at the top right of the screen. not familiar with the driver side of the app to know if it was before or after ubers cut. trust me I was as skeptical as you are, I'm not sure I believe the 2 days thing but I saw the dollar amount. this was on Monday afternoon.
