Trivago for booking... Trivago for booking...

Was curious whether anyone had actually used them for WSOP bookings. There are a few rates that are insanely low compared to the hotel or Expedia-type sites for the same property, but I am wary on the premise that 'if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is."

By insanely low, I mean a property with a listing that is a third or so of what most of the major sites were showing...they can claim refundability all they want if something happens, but in the meantime, if something happens and the room wasn't available at check-in, I am screwed...

Trivago aren't a travel agent, they're a search page. You need to google the agent offering the rate to see if they're legit.

Those rates also tend not to include resort fees.

I am aware they are a consolidated search...but some of the sites they pull have next to no comments (pro OR con) when you go to look at them. Hence the question...

I don't know that any of the online sites include resort fees in their quotes, including the hotel's own sites.

I was hoping SOMEONE here had used them and had actual first-hand experience with booking through a property sourced on Trivago...

I have booked a vegas trip through them, it was fine when I got there and didn't include resort fees (but I $20 tricked my way out of them).

That doesn't help you much though, my point was that whether it's a scam or not will depend on which particular 3rd party you book through, not the fact that it's on Trivago.

For any travel stuff, googling the name of the site and scam usually finds out pretty quickly if they are one.
