Final report! All good things must come to an end and the way poker went today its not soon enough! As I stated in the last report I was heading to the Bellagio. It was a bad session. I got in a tough spot early and lost half my stack. I raise in late position to 12 with JJ and an early position limper reraises to 38. This screams AA but I make the call. Flop is 89T so I have an overpair and open ender. He goes all in for about 130. I figure he has AA for sure (or a set maybe?) but I have outs and figure I have to make the call. I miss and his AA are good. From there I just leak more chips and really feel out of sorts and decide to quit down 205. Game seemed good but I just couldn't get into it.
I decided to get something for dinner since breakfast was long gone. I wanted Mexican and was gonna try that Diablo place in front of the Monte Carlo. But when I saw it up close it was small and crowded and noisy and I wasn't in the mood for that. I considered trying Shake Shack as I have never had it and there isn't one where I live but there was a long line and I don't stand in line on vacation. So I went to Gonzales Y Gonzales in the New York New York. I have been there before and it is pretty good, I got the beef Chimichanga and it was tasty.
I figured I would give poker one last shot on my way back to the Cosmo. I went to Aria and got in a 1/3. Game seemed okay but I wasn't getting much in the way of cards or flops when I got in a pot. I was getting stuck again and leaking chips until I finally won a good one with a flopped set of 9s. That got me back in the plus column and I played a few more rounds when I decided to call it quits +$37. I wanted to get back and pack and watch the Black Hawks game (currently winning 2-0 as they finally scored a goal 3 games into this series!). In other sports news the White Sox lost so my parlay crapped out today but at least the Cubs lost
It was a fun trip though but I am ready to get home tomorrow. The food was fantastic but I need to start eating right again. At least I was able to walk at least 10 miles every day to help burn some of those calories. The poker was fun but I lost about $300 winning a little over 300 in cash and losing a little over 600 in tourneys. I came very close to cashing a few times but the tournament gods were not smiling on me. I still like tournament poker though more than cash and have binked more than a few of them in the past.
The Cosmo was real nice too. It's a pretty good location for a poker trip with the Bellagio, Aria and Planet Hollywood poker rooms all being very convenient. Especially from the Boulevard Tower where I was. From the back tower it is more of a trek. I was lucky to get the complementary upgrade to a One Bedroom Terrace. According to the floorplan it looks like all the rooms in the Boulevard Tower are either One Bedrooms or Corner Suites which must mean all of the Studio Terraces (which is what I booked) are in the back tower.
Anyway here is what the room looks like if anyone is interested in ever booking one. It is way more than I need or want but it was a nice place to spend the last week.

Kitchen area/entrance

Here is the panoramic view from the terrace. The terrace is really the only reason to stay at the Cosmo. And I am sure most prefer the fountain side but if you want the sun like I did this is the side for you.
So that's all folks! I may be back in the fall and if I do I will report as I enjoy doing these for some reason? It was fun and thanks for following along.
