Re: TR 4-18 June RT: SAT-ABQ-LAS-LAX pics as we go

Day 1: Travel Day
Destination: Albuquerque, NM

Departed at 0400 from home base driving out I-10. Hooked north at Junction, traveled through the panhandle and cut west to Roswell, NM then north to I-40 and west to ABQ.

Rest Stop area just inside New Mexico

Clearly the drive was a Chamber of Commerce type drive.
This is Your Land of Enchantment, America. Behold:

Arrived at about 14:30, checked into lodging, took a nap for 2 hours to recover from drive. 17:00 headed to Sandia Casino. I found they had an open seat at a 10-20 Omaha game. Bingo! In for two racks ($5 chips, 2-4 play style, the casino's main game is 2-4 hold'em). This Sunday they also has 1-2NL, 4-8 Omaha, and 2-6SL going. It was a fairly busy room of quite a good size. I believe about 20 or so tables and about 3/4 full. I *think* this is the largest cardroom in New Mexico.
I sat on a heater and had a Cate Hall like run of good cards + good boards. This is about 3 orbit in:

I racked up for dinner so I could walk around the property a bit and evaluate if I was still good to play (after the long drive). I decide to sit again after dinner, donked off like a buck fifty chasing stupid junk (the heater was over lol) but still left well into the plus. Good first day! Back to lodging by 23:00 which feels so weird, but I was so tired for driving.
Here is dinner's chip-out:

Day 2: Travel Day
Destination: Las Vegas, NV
I woke at about 05:30 and was ready to go (alarms set for 06:30 lol oh well)
I stop first at good ol' Starbucks because I'm feeling like Trooper Across America and I'm about to make a beeline for Vegas. But I'm driving from Albuquerque and not Pittsburgh. Ok anyway, obligatory Coffee Cam:

Also quick pause to update this TR and I'm on the road.

Re: TR 4-18 June RT: SAT-ABQ-LAS-LAX pics as we go

Day 2 - Continued, Destination: Las Vegas

It was another beautiful Chamber of Commerce day of Your Land of Enchantment as I headed out west from Albuquerque.

To plan, rolled into Las Vegas at 15:00. Found my lodging and got settled in. Took a very brief nap to work off some of the road tensions. While on the road, I had found out from the Mixed Game FB page they would indeed have a 9-18 mixed game running at the Wynn starting at 17:00. Bells on, we are ready to go with 2 racks of $3 chips for this little adventure in the land of Archie, Baduecy, Double Board Big O hi only, and other motley games at the absolutely beautiful Wynn poker room (now in the Encore).

The game broke a bit after midnight. It was a good group and mix of locals and visitors. About half the table will also be giving the Dealer's Choice game a shot on Monday. So seven hours and I was about even, both frownie face and happy face ... nice to not be down and I never had to reload but sad b/c I was up a rack earlier and whittled down to even. Then I made the slight mistake of agreeing to play 3 handed and did not adjust my starting hands correctly and dropped about 2 1/2 stacks of chips before breaking. Oh well. Live and learn.

Day 3: It's time for my Main Event.
Okay, yes, I know its not "the" main event but for someone who really prefers mixed game poker, there are really only a few "main" tournaments in that area -- the $50k PPC, the $10k 8-game mix, the $10k Dealer's Choice, the $1500 8-game mix and the $1500 Dealer's Choice. And my thanks to the WSOP for fitting in these 5 games among the 74 on the slate. I look around town at all the other "summer poker series" that are between 90-100% no limit hold'em and I want to cry (60-75% is sufficient -- there ARE other games afterall). But anyway, there is no crying in poker so let's go on ...

The day starts back at the Wynn because 1) Free Wifi so I can update this post 2) Free parking so I can rub my pennies together unobstructed and 3) I was up at 9:30 (slept in 4 hours lol) and the event starts at 3pm so I decided to see about a little PLO at the Wynn before I go the Rio.

If you have never been to the Wynn (and have been to Las Vegas) you are doing it wrong. Here is one example -- don't forget to stop and smell the roses folks:

Many people may not realize the shear beauty of the floor. Take this for example. Did you know this was not only hand-laid tile with a design made just for Steve Wynn and his hotel, but those are marble floors folks. The artisan also had to carve an exact spot into the marble to fit their butterfly. I do occasionally find myself in a hurry rushing through these halls, but when I'm not in a rush I always takes several moments to gawk and appreciate the shear level of artistic talent and mechanical work necessary to produce unique art that everyone simply walks all over.

So, here I sit drinking a nice coffee and awaiting some yogurt at the Red Bar.

... and updating this TR. More later! Dealer's Choice game T-minus 4 hours.

thx for sharing; good read, and yeah, that marble work is impressive for sure. agree about lack of mixed games; it really is a shame, but supply and demand I suppose.

good luck!

Day 3 & 4 will be slightly delayed because my laptop battery was dead when I was eating breakfast at the Wynn today and I could not find an outlet. Will charge up and update this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Check back soon.

Thanks for checking back, there is an additional delay. I'm driving into LA today and I'm trying to time traffic (lol) so I must delay the update to later. Thanks for your interest.

Re: TR 4-18 June RT: SAT-ABQ-LAS-LAX pics as we go

Day 3 - Continued

After a nice coffee, banana, and TR update I headed to the poker room since my event did not start until 3pm. I sat down at my first 5-10 NL game. I couldn't be sure but I got the impression this was probably the tail end of a long game from the night before. I bought in for $1k in $10 chips and took a seat.

This was an interesting new experience. I was expecting a bunch of aggros bullies to just swoop in and swipe my money before I realized what happened. However, an hour or so later when my Time To Rio alarm went off I was actually almost tripled up. A lot (but not all) was one particular hand in which my oop opponent bluff bet all in on the river. The river had not delivered the flush draw and had not produced any overcards to my paired Q After he check-called the flop and turn bets (leaving me about 450 back) he just shoved. To me this did not really make for a story I could follow. Also lol live reads FWIW. I ran into him at the Venetian on Day 4 playing with Brad Owen (Vlogger and Subscriber Hunter) and he said Brad did the same to him. I gave my best laugh with a -- that's poker! expression. TBH the math probably supported a bluff shove a certain percentage of the time because my fold percentage in that spot with a general range is above 50%. He didn't show, but I assume he arrived at the river at the bottom of his range or maybe just played 7-2 feeling confident I'd lay it down. At any rate, this was a fun game. I definitely recommend it. But do not fear I don't think I'm suddenly good at poker, I'm sure this was mostly first-timer run good. That's how they get you back for the next one.

So it was finally time for the Rio. Oh look here I am, at the Rio. Let me just say, if you are driving yourself around to the Rio, TWAIN. That is all, thank you.

So its a bit after 2 and I decide, like a total dummy, to register then. OMG SMH FML. Pro-tip - go the night before or before restarts begin that day. This was the Monday after Collossus and the line to register for the 2pm Deepstack Daily was nuts. And they were full so registrants were literally just standing at a cashier spot waiting for tables to be opened (they assign starting table seat selection at the cashieir) but the cashiers weren't checking to see if they could help someone else while they waited for tables. I was 2nd in line for about a half hour.

But finally at long last:

Queuing tilt aside, I arrive at the table as they are explaining the rules. There are 20 games so a lot of little details to get correct(Event #11 if you would like to look it up on wsop.com). Also, despite the structure sheet stating there were antes for pot limit games, the TD confirmed that there are actually no antes, at any level, for pot limit games. Thank goodness / how it should be. I'm in seat 2 and that seat is pre-selected as the first to choose the game. I go with a good classic starter - FLO8.

This really was a fun tournament to play. In quick summary, I got to play a variety of games in a Dealer Choice format (which is how I learned to play poker so it makes the most sense to me anyway). I won some strong hands at show down, I chased some junk I should've dumped, I even slid in a few bluffs that worked -- in limit games. Whee. Position in Badugi FTW. I even won half the pot in Baduecy when I miss read the card and put together like the 3rd nut Badacey (the badugi half was still solid). Also, played pot limit 2-7TD. That is one hell of a game.
But end the end, I knew I was donating to someone else's prizepool, congratulations David Bach, don't spend my contributive $1,500 all in one place..

(tears)

Even though intellectually I knew I donated for the fun of playing a really great game, emotionally I was a little tilted as it happens. A local pro I am friends with recommend a game she was sitting in at Harrahs. So away I go. She was right, this was one of those party tables (times three) with smashed tourists reaching into their pockets for benjamins every couple of hands. This was a mid point shot, I bought in for the cap of $300 of course.

As the tourists started to dry up and wash out I got kinda tired and left around 0200 I believe, down a touch from the picture but not much.

That is the end of Day 3.
Day 4 is coming, photography day at the Rio, a little star shooting and winding up with a game at the Venetian.
Day 5 is also coming, a travel day to Los Angeles. You can see me on the Live At Bike program for Wednesday (2-3 NLH) and also tonight, Day 6, I will be back for the 5-5 plus 5 ante game. More updates soon.

Re: TR 4-18 June RT: SAT-ABQ-LAS-LAX pics as we go

Day 4 - Free day
In trip planning of course I wanted to have the confidence that I would make Day 2 of Event 11. Sad trombone noise, so now I have a free day. As noted earlier, I went with the routine of heading to the Wynn (thank you free parking) t eat breakfast at the red bar., update this post and see what's what for the day. Unfortunately, my laptop was low on juice so I was not able to do that.

I decided today was a good day for a shirt with a positive message

So I head out to the Rio and send out the word on social media I'm coming with camera in hand if anyone would like a photo of them at the table. I get a few takers, take a few photos with my Nikon 5200. Those photos will have to be an after-trip posting because there are too many to go through. I am including one photo I got from the final two tables of the $10k O/8 tourney. Dnegs sitting next to Owais Ahmed (pretty sure anyway).

I was planning to meet a friend who is a dealer on her day off, a poker pro friend before her 'shift' starts and two other poker hobbyists that were also in town for dinner. Only the dealer confirmed, so my favorite dealer in all of Las Vegas, AlaskaGirl from the Mirage headed out. If you play poker at the Mirage, please tip extra for Kristi, she's great.

After dinner I headed to the Venetian (yay free parking) because they have been running a 1-2 and 2-5 PLO game. I put my name down on the interest list for 2-5 and play the 1-2 for a brief time. Then they start a new table for the 2-5 PLO game. Check out who sat across from me.

Its totally Sammy Hagar right?

After playing an hour or so I felt pretty tired but as I was racking up I noticed this guy.

Brad Ownen,Subscriber Hunter

So on my way to the cashier I stopped by, said hi i like your vlog (between hands of course -- please don't do that to someone while they have cards). Lo and behold who was at his table but this guy from the Wynn who bluff-shoved the river that I snapped off. I joked and said watch out for that guy, he'll steal your lunch money. laughs. The guy said - hey man I must be something wrong, Brad just did that to me too! This guy looks like a young pro. If he made a good math shove he should just keep doing that, in the end the folds will make up for the calls. If he just shoved a wing and prayer hoping his opponent was weak, he should probably go back and review the overshove river class.

That is all for Day 4. Day 5 is a travel day -- sunny LA here we come!

Re: TR 4-18 June RT: SAT-ABQ-LAS-LAX pics as we go

Man I'm a bit behind it seems. I guess today will be catch up day. So let's look at the side trip to LA.

So, first, let me just say if you are coming to Las Vegas for an extended period (like > 1 week) and you aren't grinding MTTs -- I highly recommend you take the relatively short drive out to Los Angeles (use Google Maps to plan a good 'traffic' time to go) and play at the Hustler for lower and mid stakes, the Bike for mid stakes or broadcast appearance for later critique of your play or the Commerce if you need some business owner to dump money on your head during his lunch break. Bonus - during the WSOP the LA sharks are all in Vegas anyway, so you get more touristy / recreational only players during the series.

Day 5: Travel Day
Destination: Los Angeles

Tonight Live at the Bike had a 2-3 NLH game. Sounds like a party and a nice break from puzzling out the 20-40 mixed game at the Rio. The drive out to LA is surprisingly nice. A little tough on the car perhaps with very long stretches of a steeper than usual graded hill climb. The weather is lovely again. Upon arrival in LA I am enjoying a cool, breezy 70s-ish temp; such a contract from the 107 I left back in Vegas. I arrive early enough at my airbnb location (highly recommended during the summer -- look for owner GONCA - like a 10 minute surface street drive to both Commerce and Bike in a very nice gate community and well appointed house.) Had enough time for a short nap before freshening up and heading to the Bike.

I grab a banana at the cafe and text Ryan (organizer for LATB) and we chat for a bit pre-show. Then its show time, I go into the room to meet the other players and chat a bit before drawing for seats. You can watch it on the re-broadcast in the LATB archives. For this show, especially based on my only other 2-3 NL experience two nights before at Harrahs, I dressed very loudly to kind of promote the fun, party, social part of poker. The gentleman in seat 7, "Photo Joey", was on board and was cutting it up pretty good too. Seat 1, "Duckpin" was also outspoken a bit, it was his first time on the show and he was from the MGM National Harbor area. Everyone else was a little too serious for my taste but that's ok. Everyone has a role to play at the table, and sometimes the Quiet Nit is your role. Today I was the Loud Splashy Tourista.

Max buy-in was $300.

I don't want this to be a commercial post for LATB so I will just note, as they state during the live broadcast several times, you can signup using the promotional code "poker" for 1 week of free access to the archives. So you can watch this episode for free during the week trial period if you would like to. Its worth creating a throw-away hotmail account just to see what I wore.

Results:
It sure was a fun show. Joey and I were pulling a lot of classic antics including betting blind, "no look" lead outs or pre-flop raises, raise wars with air, the whole thing. Joey and Duckpin even tried to sunglass the table so I had to pull out the Glasses to End All Glasses for a bit. lol Anyway, I think everyone had a good time. I won a bit too, just for funsies.

They usually move the table out to the floor after the show. I usually play that game, but tonight I need to discuss a little business with the staff so I missed out on that game. However, after the business meeting, I sat at the 20-40 LHE game while waiting for a seat in Casey's Mixed game. During the wait, playing 5 handed, I started with 2 racks and had a 3rd rack full by the time my seat was ready. I got pretty lucky and flopped middle boat against trips and we got in some good full bets down to the river.

Finally, I was able to get a seat at Casey's Mixed game which, in my opinion, is the best game at the Bike, hands down. Also remembering I am an amateur / hobbyist so I play for fun not for a living. This game is F U N.

Its a 4-8 chip fixed limit game played with $3 chips (so bets have a dollar value of $12-24). The mix is just three games (more can be added if full table agrees, usually happens early mornings). Big O, Badugi, and 7 stud 8 or better.

This night I made the mistake of playing when I was far too tired. I lost my shirt sadly. A reminder to remain disciplined. Just playing tired can cost you in bad decisions.

Thus endeth Day 5. Day 6 -- a work from home day, next.

Re: TR 4-18 June RT: SAT-ABQ-LAS-LAX pics as we go

Day 6 - Working from "home" and LATB again.

The day starts at 0530, a scarce 2 hours since I wandered in from the Bike. Poor planning on my part for sure. I work from home in an IT job, and now I have to pay the piper (I did not have enough vacation to cover the entire trip, so this is a necessary sacrifice to get a 2 week poker trip). I pulled off working my usual job 0600-1500 with a lunch break -- there was a really great Hawaiian BBQ joint across the street from the little neighborhood I was staying in. Delicious! At 3, work is done and I zonk out for a nap before another LATB show. Refreshed and ready, I head back to the Bike. This night (Thursday) was a very different game from the night before. It wasn't going to be a party game or a game with a lot of clowning around. I picked a much more conservative, but still colorful outfit and hair styling for the evening.

Even though it wasn't a crazy party game, it had its share of characters. Including recent maniac type player, Gilbert the Plumber (he always wears a hat or shirt advertising his business on the show), El Joel a regular shark from the area who appears often. Ross, who was making his first appearance on the show and was not a known local player, but added to some fun table banter during the broadcast. Derek, who has appeared a few times recently as well. THE Ryan Feldman played in this game and Will, as he introduced himself to the table; DAMON for the show label - is a magician. Not surprisingly he had a lot of flourish movements when better or folding and did a few chips tricks between hands.

The game was just a standard 5-5 no limit game. Oh wait, almost standard, did I mention there was a $5 ante per hand? Oh yes. So before UTG makes a decision there is $55 in the pot to chase after. Bet sizing wise, this bumped the "standard" open from like $20 for a 5-5 game to more like $60-90 which is more like an aggressive 5-10 or a passive 10-25 game. There was also straddle of any amount from any position allowed, but I do not recall even one straddle all night. This was definitely playing with the 'big boys' and I got beat up pretty good. One bad fold that I should have called (especially after reviewing the tape and watching obvious and clear behavior tells I should have made note of) and one bad over-shove basically trying to represent that hand Gilbert actually had. Oh well, that happens. In Day 5 I noted a promo code and link to LATB if you would like to watch this show in the archive, scroll up, same drill.

What I had left after the show, turned into my buy-in for the after show table.

In the after show (converted to a straight 5-10 game), I had some additional business with the staff again, but once that was clear I found a seat at the after table and got back 2/3 of what I lost during the show. Not a complete recovery, but that's ok.

A big chunk of that was courtesy of THE Ryan Feldman himself. I don't get quads very often, and certainly not against Ryan so I took a picture. All the money went in on the flop and he wanted to run it twice. Fine with me, I only had trips so I could easily lose one or both boards. However, trips held up on board one and turned into quads on board two. Nine Eight Suited for the win!

I give Ryan total credit though, I assume he had AQ, KK or AA after I lead out a bet on the flop he pushed me all in. I knew I was only behind the case 9 with a better kicker and QQ, but that Ryan would do the same move with AQ, KK, AA and maybe TJ (though TJ would be an over-bet in my opinion as a nekkid draw) plus occasionally some total air hands if he read me as weak and willing to fold.

Ryan is a good sport and a real pro which is I know he doesn't mind me talking about the hand in this way. Some others I beat in other pots in a similar fashion I won't mention who they are because I don't know how they take it.

I was tired and had to work again on Day 7, so back to the ol' airbnb pad.

Re: TR 4-18 June RT: SAT-ABQ-LAS-LAX pics as we go

Day 7 - Just another day on the grind folks.

Same drill as yesterday, up to work at 0600-1500 and a brief nap. But today after work, it was time to head out to Commerce. I took a seat at Table 27, the 5-5 PLO game with a rock. If you aren't familiar with this bet structure, it is a 5-5 blind game and a $10 "rock" straddle follows the player who won the last hand, kinda like a "kill button" in a limit game. Action always starts to the left of the rock, whatever position on the table that is and the rock always has last action pre flop. So the blinds literally serve only to prop money in the pot for a larger open pot raise pre-flop. Its a good game. On this particular day it is not very nice to me and I take a bath (it happens frownie face).

(BAD BEAT WARNING -- skip this paragraph if you don't want the lolBadBeatz story) One particular hand was especially nasty -- AATT double suited on hearts and diamonds. I pot when it gets to me and have 3 callers. Flop has a 10 and two hearts. One connected card (8) and a total dangler (3). So I have the current right-now flopped nuts (top set) and a draw to a better nuts (flush, hearts). Time to build value. One of the callers pots and I repot and third guy folds the opener calls. Turn is a blank and the rest of the money goes in the middle. The guy asks if I want to run it twice (he had me well covered) I said sure. My set is still the nuts and my flush draw is still good. He is open ended with a straight draw. River #1 brings no heart, no paired board and hits the top of his open ender. One for him. River #2 brings no heart, no paired board and the bottom of his open ender. Brutal. Sucked out on twice in one hand. I'm burning a bit from lighting $1,500 on fire and roasting marshmallows overs the coals but oh well that's poker next hand.

So after having a less-fun-than-usual game at Commerce, I decide to check out a place I haven't visited before: the Hustler.

I was able to get a seat in their $5-5 game (no ante this time). You can buy in between 300-1000 for this game and perhaps a little gun shy from earlier I opt for $500. This was a pretty nice room. I loved the decor, but I'm a little weird like that. I love purple and that is a major theme in their colors so it all looked great to me.

The regs were friendly, and I ran into a person who I am familiar with from watching her on LATB and also following her on Twitter. She was just stopping by for a bit of game after work and landed on a table with one of her Twitter Stalkers. lol. I got her pretty good when I pulled up her twitter profile pic (@TheHammah) which has her posing with her big bear trophy from her recent tournament win in the state poker series. I held it up and said congrats, she looked a little surprised that some random stranger at the table recognized her and said thanks. We started talking business because she is in IT like I am, slightly different role but close enough and so was Steve from seat 9. We chatted about IT stuff and played cards for a few hours. Definitely a good game. The table broke and I was ready to go anyway. Luckily no more working until Monday, but Saturday is a travel day -- back to Las Vegas.

The session at Hustler ends in a plus results wise, about 2 hundred of so ish over the start. More importantly, it was a fun table, with a fun group in a fun cardroom. +1 would recommend to others, +1 will go again.

Oh, while we were playing, a floorman came around and handed out these little keychains to each player. This must be trying something new because all the regs seemed surprised. There is a button on the other side that activates a little LED light.

Re: TR 4-18 June RT: SAT-ABQ-LAS-LAX pics as we go

Day 8 - Travel day
Detonation: Las Vegas

I need to check out by 1100 so I sleep until about 0930 and it sure is nice.

I need to discuss some business with Abe Limon today, so I head back to Commerce (he was golfing yesterday so I missed him, but he is starting up his game today around 1300).
Lo and behold, at the place of my nasty bath from yesterday I find Abe.

Sorry the photo is so bad, you can't find a spot with decent lighting in the whole building.

Abe must be my good luck charm. I helped him start his table up, he grabs a few regulars and Amanda who sat across the table the day before takes seat 9 on my left and Abe on my right to start the day. I bought in short because I'm still a hobbyist not a cold-hard professional.

I was gun shy (and it cost me a lot of missed value too; tears) and proceeded to triple up

(GOOD BEAT STORY WARNING - If you don't like good beats then skip this paragraph). I took a look at TT97 with two suits and decided that was good to call an open pot. Three way flop included a T as a high card. omg fml smh here we go again (see bad beat story Day 7). First person pot, second person repot. Its now all in for me to call and it puts like $25 on the side. This is where I missed out on value by buying in short. I should have re-repotted for almost all in and got the rest in on the turn or on the flop if they potted again. Anyway, I had the nuts, one player had a flush draw that came in but didn't matter and the other player had bottom set. Side note this was the first of three hands in a row with set over set on the flop or the turn for huge pots. The turn paired the board and now I was only beat by quads. River blank, they settle the side pot, I show Abe (the other two in the hand were other side of the table) on the turn and say "I have outs" since action was still pending between those two. He laughed -- yeah you got outs. Anyway, they checked down the side pot and it went to the bottom boat and the main pot was coming my way. So that helped a little. I took back a little chunk of what I dumped the day before. My preset alarm went off and I bid Amanda & Limon farewell and headed back to Vegas.

On the way back, I stopped at two casinos on the border to pick up a chip for the collection and shoot a little craps for fun. Won in one casino, lost in the other. Oh well, that's dice.

I got into town and was looking around on Twitter, Instagram and DMs to see if my friends had any leads on a good game. Nothing pinged on the radar and I decided to try a venue I have generally avoided because of its usual sharky personae - Bellagio. The waiting lists were long, oh unless you wanted to play one of the better games in the room -- the 40-80 mixed game. A slight wait, but soonly I was called and started with 2 racks of these horrid orange chippies:

After about 2 hours I was tired from the drive and let's face it, the extra brain power needed to crunch these mixed games plus the much high caliber of player I had to adjust to play against here. Still I post a modest win of two stacks of chips.

I'm a little mentally tired but not yet physically tired so I jump out in the plus and head to the Flamingo where I can splash around in a 2-4 limit game and make the regs roll their eyes. Its a fun hobby, I usually do this once per trip. Sure enough at my table are four regulars who I remember playing with in 2016, 2015, and 2014. None of them remember me or at least they don't admit to remembering me. The guy to my right immediately picks up on what I'm doing and adjusts to play me correctly. Dang, but at least the rest of the table doesn't. If you have played this way before you know how the roller coaster goes. I was up about a rack and a half but bled down to around even before getting the call that the 1-1 PLO game is popping a second table. Fun times, fun table, I'll see those same four regs next summer too, God willing and the creek don't rise.

I was ok in the 1-1 PLO for about an hour but I again made the error of playing beyond my ability to be fully mentally alert. I lost pretty big (well I mean for a 1-1 game with a $300 buy in cap) but laughed it up pretty good as I was sandwhiched between a guy from Indiana who I get the impression plays 1-2-5 PLO or 1-2-5 Big O in his regular game at home and Sandra, probably the third nicest dealer in my experience in Las Vegas and I have played at her table she was dealing and sat next to her twice now in a game. She didn't remember me from the last time, but I remembered her. Mental mistake aside, this is really a fun game and can get crazy quickly.

So the day started with a great game of 5-5 PLO with a rock and its crazy slingy potty action and ended in a slightly lighter game of 1-1 PLO where at least I lost far less than I won to start the day. lolz

Clearly at that point, it was time for bed. I walk back to the Palazzo where I had parked (yay free parking!) and proceeded to wander around P3 looking for my car. I finally found it and got back to the airbnb pad and slept. Nothing specific going on for Day 9, so I get to sleep in.

Day 9 - Caught up!

I wake up around 1130, shower dress, and head to Starbucks where I can get coffee and Internet access. Several friends are in town, but I guess they are sleeping off a late night because they aren't responding to text. I update these TRs finally and then ... more tomorrow!
