Tell them. Also call and double check that you still have platinum status, it's only supposed to last a year but it sounds like folks have kept it past the expiration.

Will do. I know I am still platinum. Got a letter from them a few weeks ago extending me for the year

Cool. If you book online and you're logged in they will take the fees off, otherwise you have to tell them at check in.

OP did you end up spending it off?

Personally I would probably go to one of the cigar shops (like near the Megabucks in Caesars) and buy cases of Fuente Fuente Opus X cigars. Or perhaps you can find one of the liquor stores in one of the CET properties and stock up on your favorite booze. Even if you have a host that will comp you some meals here and there, it's good to spend down the balance. I've heard some complaints that some hosts have to charge off your reward credits before being able to comp you certain things anyway.

Are there any minimum purchase amounts in order to activate Platinum status?

Thank you. The website is vague, and I'm having trouble locating this information via search.
Apply for card ASAP, the reward credits you earn don't transfer to your TR account until a bill is paid. If your TR account doesn't show you as platinum before you leave ,when you get to Vegas go to the TR desk, show the Visa they can upgrade you. I did this in Atlantic City so it should be the same in Vegas.

There is no minimum spend, but you might as well spend enough to get the bonus. If I remember correctly it is $600 but spending at Ceasars doesn't count toward that.

It's $750 in the first three months to get the full 15,000 points.

You can buy almost everything with a cc now. $750 is trivial to spend in 3 months, just living your life. Gas, groceries, cable bill, phone bill, insurance, etc, etc. Then pay the bill off with all the cash you didn't spend when you bought the stuff.

So with this total rewards card, is there some kinda of credits to $ conversion chart on the site? Can you make rakeback playing at a poker table, or is this just for general promotions like hotel, food, discounts ect. Is this card worth signing up for if I am staying at the Flamingo for 6 nights only goal is to play poker?

Do people actually read anything in a thread, or forum for that matter, before posting a question? I am beginning to think not as most answers are more than 140 characters.

I kept $1000 on card and exchanged the remaining $3500 for $2800 of free play. When I ask a host for say a comp to the steakhouse I specify that it is not to come from my reward credits.

According to this, diamond members get "Priority seating for Poker."

Does mean all diamond members jump to the top of every list, like 7 Stars can?

Not sure why everyone is saying if you have the TR Visa and get Platinum you get to dodge lines and get resort fees waived.

According to the link quoted 2 above me that is only Diamond and above. I have the TR card and Platinum and I am going to LV next month. Why is everyone saying its Platinum and not Diamond? The website has not changed in months.

Because months ago Platinum had those benefits but have since CET changed their mind.

Question about the "companion card" through TR...

If I get added on as a companion to someone's Diamond card, do I get the same discounts on rooms as the original Diamond card holder? He has reached aspiration level 2 and can stay in Vegas weeks totally comped. He cannot go on the trip I am leaving for in a few weeks. I am only a gold card and don't play anything but poker so my discounts/comps are minimal.

Could he talk to his host to see about getting me a discounted room?

Also, is it possible to get two different accounts through TR? One for poker and one for degen stuff?
