If you don't have to go to your job anymore you need to be putting in 40 hours a week at the tables and building up your roll. I think it would be much better if you failed in KC where you have somewhat of a "safety net" in local family than if you failed in Vegas.

You guys think this kid cares if he fails in Vegas, he's 23 and without a car. That's a pretty big fail in itself. I'd be in a rut too if I was 23 and burdened everyone for a ride all the time. I'd guess he probably doesn't have many friends. Anyone around where I live kinda just got left behind if they always need somebody to come pick them up. Nobody wants to have to take care of a 23 yo with **** they should be able to do on their own. So I wouldn't doubt if that happened to OP. So gl OP you have nothing to lose.


I'm not sure how I want this to turn out for you. I wanted you to succeed, up until the part you said you're playing the 3k event as long as you have enough for the buy in. I mean playing in that tourny would just be stupid, even if you're primarily a HU player. Which makes you sound even more retarded. I don't know. If you end up going, gl at least you should have a good story even if you do end up busto. But like everyone else said, have a way to get home. Having $0 with no food, transportation, shelter and no way
home isn't exactly cool.

I can't believe I just delayed sleep to read this thread. Although it was entertaining I must agree with other guy and say I was rooting for him a lot more til he said that about the WSOP event. I've been playing poker for over 5 years but i quite at some point and am considering going after my dream again.. and ya i read all the advices n tips in the thread.. and I know that i have a super high risk awaits me if this is my decision...
