Jesus H leave the kid alone already. I mean, at least he has the sack to try to do something different. Of course it's not likely to come to fruition re: leading a life as a poker pro...but so what? He has no responsibilities, and he has the ability to fall back to his life in KC, plus he has at least one friend in Vegas. I mean seriously, what is the massive unrecoverable life tragedy here?

Good luck kid...have fun. Just don't be soul-crushed if it doesn't all work out the way you'd like it to. Enjoy the experiences, learn something from it, and move on to the next thing.

Oh, and I'm in town from the 14th to the 24th so PM me and I'll buy you a burger to make back that Whopper money eco says you dusted off.

As someone who took a huge flier moving across the country to chase a dream, I say GL to you and good for you for having the balls to do it.

Because it makes no sense. You don't see why it's a bad idea? HU4rolls?! Defend it all you want, in fact why don't you stake him?

op might as well grind at some cet properties i guess. you can build up some free rooms at ip for when the series is over.

and grind all those rakeback offers. freeroll slots at casino royale during the slow times and try to bink

TI would be a good place to start maybe with the rake back promo.

Being able to stay with a friend probably changed your odds of success from 30-1 to 6-1. I'd say its worth doing though, if nothing else just to satisfy your curiosity. Just stay away from all the temptations, alcohol, hookers, expensive meals (all the fun stuff) but geez man, do not enter that wsop event you mentioned, that is a flat out horrible idea

OP is going to bink the main event and we will all get to see his messed up grill light up the ESPN camera.

It makes plenty of sense, you're just too narrow-minded to understand

2k is more than enough to play 1-2. But 1-2 isn't very profitable if you end up beating the game.

Forget patience and grinding 1-2. Buy in to wsop or put it all on the table at 5-10. Go big or go home. Oh wait one way ticket you can't go home!

good luck OP.

all the haters just don't have the balls to take a chance.

what's the difference between taking a vacation with $2K in your pocket and what OP's doing? who cares if he fails? if he wins a little on a consistent basis, he can stay as long as he wants. and, really, $1/$2 is easily beatable for $100 plus per day if you play tight and aggressive.

OP, u broke yet?

It seems the most critical people in this thread are actually envious of OP. The guy is 23 years old with no responsibility back home. How many of us at that age would love the opportunity of such an adventure? Like the prior post mentioned, OP can think of this as a vacation. Sure the odds of OP making it(opinion based) are slim but its possible.

I think your position on the kid having a cheap life experience is ridiculous, but this is funny

What is it with 2p2ers and hookers? Does no one get any the normal way around here? Are they not aware that hookers are -EV thanks to STIs/STDs, robberies and police?
