It certainly wasn't guaranteed when I stayed at Caesars Palace and went to Pure - they gave us these "VIP passes" which allowed us to "skip" the "line" but there was a separate line for "VIPs" which the bouncers advanced at will, which basically made the whole process worthless. We ended up bribing the bouncer to get to the front of the regular line and got in that way.

I would recommend showing up to the vip line with girls. That's the fastest way to get in. Even if you don't have any in your group just grab some from the back of the regular line and tell them to come with you in the vip line.

I stayed at the venetian last summer and on a Friday night this is what was required to get in quickly.

And how do you get on the VIP list?

50-70 per head, gets u straight in.

It's going to vary wildly based on:
a. the guy-girl ratio of your group (more guys = more money)
b. what time of the day, what day of the week, and how hot the club is (more popular = more money)
c. how attractive the people are in your group (less attractive = more money)
d. how willing you look to pay a huge amount (more willing = more money)

I've always gone with a group of all guys, average attractiveness, average dress, usually Fri/Sat night and a little earlier than peak times (10-11 pm). $20 per person has gotten us into Pure, Light, ghostbar, and Studio 54. The year we had 13 guys it took $400 to get us all into Pure, but that number was what the bouncer asked for and we didn't negotiate.

You mean a real VIP list or the one I got on? Because the one I got on was a total scam.

The passes we got were from Caesars Palace because we were staying there. They gave it to us for free, but we later saw people selling them on the street for $10. We ended up picking up an extra pass from the concierge for an in-town friend and they didn't check our room key, so I bet if you look like the sort to stay at CP, you could just walk up to the concierge and get them for free.

But let me reiterate if you missed it the first two times - they're worth exactly $0. You don't get in any faster than if you just wait in line.

Also whats the go with the pass for the clubs at the Palms?

I think I read somewhere that if your staying at the Palms you get a wristband for addmitance to all the clubs there. Not 100% sure though.
