SP in LV, part I: TR 06/27-07/04
I'm headed out to Vegas tomorrow for a week and I've enjoyed so many of the great TR's in this forum that I need to give something back. I leave South FL at noon and get into LV in the late afternoon.
Drawing on some inspiration from NorCalJew's awesome thread, I will try to keep the updates flowing throughout the trip and put as many pics in here as I can.
The first 3-4 days of my trip will be to grind. Cash low-stakes NL mostly, some deepstack or dailies thrown in the mix too. Then a friend of mine is flying into town and when she gets there, the focus will be more degen/drinking/shennanigans with a little poker on the side.
A quick word about me: I'm a Vegas veteran of about 20+ trips but this will be the first time I've got days on my hands with nothing but poker on the agenda. Usually I'm with a crew of friends and it's all degen/clubs/etc. Looking forward to it! I'm staying at Harrah's the first 4 days then moving to Palazzo when Shell gets here (lol).
I'm also recently single as my fiance and I have split up. High likelihood of stories of les femmes.
All for now, if this TR keeps moving and has interest I'll keep it rolling! BTW, this is part 1 because I'll be back again with a whole crew of friends in two weeks and that trip will be like 90% degen/clubs/pool parties/girls and 10% poker.
cheers,
SP

Dooooood......Ah, too bad you won't be at the 2+2 party! (you are literally coming BEFORE and AFTER it!)
Have fun, run good, and if you have time, swing by the MGM this weekend and come play a few hands! (2-5, 5-seat, Underarmor visor)
Cheers,
S

Sweet, looking forward to reading your TR.
I'm going solo as well for an all poker (1/2 NL) trip in August, also staying at Harrah's. I've only stayed at Aria in the past with a group and am somewhat considering switching hotels but I got Harrah's for $160 all in for 4 nights (wed - Sat nights).
We'll see what a vegas vet like yourself has to say about Harrah's.
PS - Your pic didn't work

Argg lousy pic, I see it on my mobile app but when I chcked my laptop it didn't show up. I posted an IMG and a HTML but guess I need the direct link? Will try again.
I've stayed at Harrahs before but it was like 10 yrs ago when I first went, I have been at the MGM almost exclusively since then. Did the Palazzo for Halloween wkd 2011 and it was sick.
Will let u know my thoughts on Harrahs, I had the IP booked but changed it for just a lil more $.

Lol yes it was a very thinly veiled brag, it was the first pic I grabbed on cell that was aimed at this crowd, whoops lol.
That was a couple months back at local casino. Let's see if we can run that in LV!

And....the trip has started!! Grabbed a taxi to FLL, breezed thru checkin and security. That's the best part of Fort Laudy airport, the amenities are lacking a bit but its soooo easy t get in and out of here.
Flying Delta and tried to see if I could work my way into a better seat for a tip. The curbside checkin can't do it and the lady at the gate was an ice queen, totally unhelpful. Ah well. Boarded and saw my aisle seat near the back was next to a cute Asian and her BF. They moved and now I'm next to 2 girls. Vegas here we come!

Re: SP in LV, part I: TR 06/27-07/04
You're in the air and I hope you're chatting up those cuties. Already some rungood, huh?
When I was coming out of McCarran last Sunday the TSA did a random screening as we were boarding. I was the first unlucky victim.
During the patdown:
TSA Agent: Sir, you have two wallets?
Me: (looking around noticing all eyes on me) Yep... but they're considerably lighter than when I came in.
Anyway. Sending more rungood your way. 21-40 is a range I would put the hero on.

Man I'm flying to Vegas today too but my flight is 4 hours late and everyone at BWI is ugly. Saving my rungood for the WSOP!

Lol fellas. Just landed in Memphis on short layover. Not much rungood yet, girls were nice but meh. Seat was all jacked up but it was a crappy plane overall so not surprised. Next leg should be bigger and hopefully better jet.
Btw, I have a weakness for hot Asians, you've been forewarned for this TR!

Ahhh rungood! Rolled off the plane, grabbed a sammy to-go and got to new gate only to see a huge crowd of people waiting to board. The TV monitor had a green list of passengers cleared to board and I'm on it so I bounce into the Priority line and get in. My boarding pass in FLL didn't have a seat assignment so I find out I'm moved to 4D, and aisle seat with expanded space directly behind 1st class - sweet!
Aisles are my fav and there tons of room here. Only downside is a lady and her little kid next to me. Ah well. Vegassss!

Taking a min to post another pic and see if this works correctly, somebody on their PC lemme know pls.
One of these has to work, I made a folder in photobucket and uploaded pics from mobile to it. Then I just cut and pasted the various links it gives as well as tried the "more" button in 2p2 to insert URL.
A snap of Fort Liquordale that I left behind!
