Just booked a trip for the last week of August - return flights from the UK and staying at Vdara for £940 ($1220) which seems a pretty good deal to me. Looks like it is quiet that week so will try and get resort fees waived or at least an upgrade courtesy of a 20.

Was last out in 08 and played in some WSOP events so looking forward to finally getting back. Coming with a restricted bankroll of $2k so will be playing $1/2 and $1/3 mostly and possibly WSOP circuit prelim if I'm up early - if I bust roll will either chill out for the rest of the time or (more likely) dip into the credit card. Used to play a lot of cash from $100 up to $1k online but have played only sporadically in the last few years.

Played a bit at Caesars and MGM (as well as Rio) last time which were ridiculously soft but where is likely to have the softest games at these limits or is it a case of all games being soft at such limits? Keen to play at Aria/Bellagio but more keen to go where people like donating their cash.

Have looked through the fine dining thread but any recommendations for good middle price sushi and steak joints would be much appreciated. I am also keen to get some King Crab - are these served at any of the buffets?

I was in Vegas earlier this year with a decent sized group, though mostly non poker players. Was good to spend the day with them, early evening at the tables and go out with everybody later on.

If you bust the roll will you be doing the bar/clubs thing? I am considering going back alone next year. Though dont think I would be comfortable doing nightlife solo.

I expect the game has moved on a bit since 08, generally I found 1/2 games faily simple. If you are a LAG I suggest the Mirage as that ws really nitty, or if your a TAG the Flamingo was quite loose. Of course I am just looking at a tiny sample size.
