Softest 2/5 games during WSOP? Softest 2/5 games during WSOP?

Headed back to Vegas in June for the series. Last year I mostly played at the Bellagio and MGM and found the games were pretty easy. Any opinion on the softest 2/5 games running that month?

Hmm interesting topic. Should be some unique discussion on this.

I vote for Luxor.

Very surprised this question has never come up. Good job, OP!

For the standard 2+2er, all of the games below 50-100 are soft.

If I knew I wouldn't tell people. Or I'd lie and tell them a different room. I say Monte Carlo.

Not sure if trolling orrrrrr.. nevertheless, I think June being the busiest month in vegas makes it tougher to say which room is the softest. Most rooms will be packed for the entire month especially on weeks like the colossus. I think that makes it more random, therefore tougher to pinpoint IMO. Play where you want to play, know of the different buy in stipulations (I.e bellagio 100bb max, Venetian 200bb max etc..) switch it up, have fun!

At the casinos where donkeys like to lodge at. So...anywhere. Or maybe they chose to lodge as close to the Rio as possible, so maybe the casinos closer to the Rio.

Weekends at the Rio. But so many negatives to playing cash there not sure if it's worth it

Last year no chip runners. Not sure if that's still the case this year.

uncomfortable seats, tiny bottles of water, beer in plastic cups, freezing cold, bathroom lines during tourney breaks, no sexy cocktail waitresses, generally poorer dealers and fewer hands per hour, spotty wifi...why am i going again?

Rake..
Maybe with the changes it will be better.
Dealers would probably still suck.

Yup. I only played in the pavilion for about an hour last year, and it was only to meet a buddy. The game wasn't any good either.

Regarding the Rio - ALL of the above as to why it is not the place to play cash.

The Rio during the WSOP is a terrible place to play 2/5 NL. But it does have the advantage of spreading lots of games and limits that you won't find anywhere else in the city, or at any other time of year.

Except for LHE. They seemed to have given up on that even though there was demand last year and the year before.

Wasn't there last year but in '15 they had mixed games running.
Not anymore?

Then again playing mixed games with a dealer that hasn't dealt any hand besides holdem isn't that much fun.

That's the irony of it. While the Rio offers the MOST variety of games, their dealers have the LEAST experience in dealing all of these non NLHE games.

A couple years ago I was playing 20/40 O8 at the Rio, and had a dealer get so flustered she literally got up and left in the middle of a hand.

WTF!?! Wow, I had some dealers get lost in a hand and the table just usually walks them through it but that is insane. I would love to be sitting at the table next to you to see this happen but would hate to be in the hand because I have no idea how the floor corrects the situation. Can the hand go on? What happened afterwards?

Fortunately it was her last hand before the dealer change, so there was another dealer already standing behind her. He just took over and finished the hand out, though it took a very long time because the floor had to be called.

She actually didn't become flustered by the mechanics of the game. One player accused another player of shorting a bet and the arguments over it got very heated.

Definitely not Wynn. I love Wynn because of the atmosphere but my 2/5 games were not good during the last couple WSOPs. I had a table where it was me and 8 pros (out of towners I believe). I figured they were all after my money so I had to deliver a state of the union speech to make it clear that I was the best player at the table and questioned why anyone would want to stay at the table. So like 6 of us got up and then the table ended up being soft but overall the games were not great.

Look for a place with high rake/low comps, only one 2/5 game (so no ability to table select), and not next door to the more popular rooms (Aria/Bellagio/Venetian/Wynn).
