Re: Sigh, there's too much info out there...

Haven't stayed at PH Westgate, but I did like the MGM Signature. It was a hike from our tower back to the MGM, but a pretty quick walk out the back and up Harmon to Planet Hollywood, Miracle Mile shops, and City Center.

For a week long stay, you may appreciate having the kitchenette so you can have some quick and inexpensive meals in your room instead of every meal eating out.

is it pool weather in march?
It may be pool weather, but it doesn't mean the pool will be open. The only hotels that I know have year round open pools are the Wynn, Bellagio, and Venetian - I don't stay on the south strip, so I'm not sure about MGM/Mandalay.

I do know that the mirage/TI/Flamingo open later - I think in May, but I could be wrong.

Most pools will be open in March, particularly late March. I've been to Mirage and MGM and used the pools at both in March. When in doubt, though, call the hotel.

Best rooms for the money, plus you get a whirlpool bath and a balcony (on request).

A bit of a walk but worth it. Plus you have a kitchenette.

Stayed there at least a dozen times before I moved here.
I agree completely. Haven't had a bad experience yet. You can also book through private owners and safe some cash.

Just booked in the Signature Suites...how close is the poker room to the Suites? I hear it can be quite a walk...or do I have the wrong idea entirely and this is WAY off MGM Casino property?

You can walk it. MGM suites is pretty close to Planet Hollywood and Aria on Harmon so those will be real close. Or you can take the moving sidewalk to the MGM.

Re: Sigh, there's too much info out there...

It depends on which Signature tower you are in. The first tower is not that far from MGM and there are the moving walkways. The second and third towers are further away and longer walks.

When I stayed there we were in the third tower and it was quite a hike to the MGM poker room. I am pretty sure it was a faster/closer walk to walk out the back entrance to Harmon and up the road to Planet Hollywood or Aria's poker rooms than to walk back to MGM.

No you should worry lol. People do have problems with rooms in Vegas and complain the trick, if this happens to you is to not let it ruin your vacation. I was at Mandalay bay couple months ago thanks to priceline had a great room great view but at 4am I started hearing the pipes make noises like the water was going to flood the room. Now I don't like dealing with maintenance at 4am so I did my best to ignore it but that morning called front desk. Come back still there call front desk again, at they said oops. We'll fix. This is 2pm at 3pm when nothing had happened I called back a raised h@ll about this problem and they moved me to a nice room in TheHotel. Now this was nice but I'm still pissed because basically they blew me off and moving rooms isn't my idea of fun even too a nice one because it's just for a night. Anyhow I won't be back to Mandalay bay.

But the key point here is I didn't let this get past late afternoon because it would have impacted my vacation.
