The truth is I just need to suck it up and go to a couple of meetings a week for a year and get it over with. I have become comfortable living without it and maybe this little excursion will give me some motivation.
Just wow on so many levels

That was a drinking problem. Still living at home sounds like an issue also. How old are you?

At least your close to the Cancer Poker Room at the Boulder

I agree I had major problems. I need to GTFO, I can afford to. I was independent of them for many years even without a license. I moved back in with them b/c i hated the job I was doing and my sister also had moved to the area. In reality I feel like I am helping them out more now than they are helping me right now. My mother refuses to work and I contribute around 800 bucks to the household a month. I hope me leaving for a few months will motivate her do do something. My father makes far more money than I do so they will be fine.

Lol, I like this guy, you would fit in well with my crowd. I know a guy who drank centravax, (similar to GHB) he passed out at the wheel at a light around lunch time, cop beating on his window finally made him wake up

Re: Should I stay or should I go?

Update: It looks like I will be arriving in town somewhere around 6/21. I had planned on coming in to town that weekend for my yearly June trip anyways. I had bought a ticket and booked a room at the IP before this option came up. It will only be a 3 month excursion.

He's got a job, he's got a place to play, he's got something of a bankroll for playing. Why are some people telling him don't go.

Re: Should I stay or should I go?

Update: Plan is still going forward. I am arriving in Vegas this Thursday. I will be at the IP for the weekend. My computer and clothes and other stuff will be arriving Monday or Tuesday. I pray I can pack it safe enough. I have never had the original packaging for my Work computer. I took all my available paid time off and will not have to start taking phone calls until 6/9 so I have plenty of time available to play.

I played last weekend at Parx in Philly for some 1/2. I must have played around 20-30 hours and dropped a $300 buy-in over the course of the weekend. I made a couple mistakes but **** happens. I admit my cash game is rusty but I was clearly making better choices as time went on. Wow there were a bunch of regs there lol. I watched one solid player with a neck tattoo and a Ketchup bottle as a card protector run over the table he eventually got up to around a 2k stack at 1/2. He was one of those vocal guys that just produced tilt out of the nitty old men. He was getting guys to pay him off left and right. There was a lot of action at the tables.

The roll will be 3k, with another 3k available in 2 weeks, hopefully I will never need to touch it. My living expenses will be low for these three months but I am still going to try to treat poker as a second job and will try to post in LLSNL for hand advice. B/C of how far I am out I do not anticipate getting to the strip on a daily basis but the plan is to play FRI/SAT/SUNDAY at 1/2 and 1/3 and get at least 20 hours in per week at whatever games seem best. I thought about trying the TI promotion but do I really want to play against all nitty grinders? There has to be better games running now. I probably am a better tourney player but I will try to avoid them. No 1k's or VDSE's for me sadly this trip unless I start running good.

I will probably track income/loss using the Android app, if I ever get a working phone. I have had two Samsung epic's die on me within last two weeks. I will be getting another replacement shortly.

Arrived and checked in. I will hit the felts after I eat. The only definitive plan is to hit up the avp tourney this weekend. I may play a rio daily at some point.
