Shelby Tour?

Hey Everyone,

Im going to Vegas for my first time in Late September. Going for work, but will have a lot of spare time on my hands. Besides Playing Poker, and Possibly going to the Pawn Stars Shop, I just found out Shelby gives tours.

Does anyone know if this is worth it? I'll be renting a car while I'm out there so getting there should be no problem.

Just wondering if anyone has done it and if its worth doing it as I love Cars especially Classic/Musiccle cars? How long is the tour anyway?

thanks

There is also a very nice Car collection located under ground at the Wynn Casino. All type of race cars, Farrari's, and other cool ones.

How much does it cost to see it?

Re: Shelby Tour?

The Pawn Stars Shop is kind of a bust, more of just a tourist trap place. Half of the floor space is filled with junk merchandise. Unless you really love the show I would not go out of your way to see it.

The Wynn does have a nice auto collection but it is very small. You might be more interested in Auto Collections at the IP - http://autocollections.com/ When I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago they have discount tickets at the 1/2 Tix booths.

Re: Shelby Tour?

The Speedway is far. Shelby NA is pretty cool it's a huge facility right by the track. I'd say it's worth going just for the sheer fact that old man Shelby is no longer with us.

We had a few cars tuned at the race shop there and it's cool to pop in and check it out as well.

Re: Shelby Tour?

I haven't done the Shelby tour but I will be doing this for my 40th birthday in 2015.

LVMS is about 30 minutes north of the strip. Seems like a reasonable return on a few fun tickets.

If you want to get serious, head to Pahrump's track for racing instruction in Corvettes or Radicals.
