Riviera 1000x Craps

If you are a craps degen and have a massive bankroll, Riviera now has 1000x odds craps. Enjoy swings well into the six figures with a $5 minimum flat bet and $5000 max odds. I know this is a gimmick by Riv but at some point there will be a story about someone's massive win or fail taking a shot at it.

wat?

1000x odds just means you can bet 1000x your pass line bet getting true math odds.

so if you have a pass line bet of 5 dollars you can bet another 5000 dollars behind it with no house edge

This isn't bad for the house really it just makes for larger swings doesn't reduce the house edge all

This is not true. One player bets $5 and takes no odds on his pass line bets ever. His house advantage is $.07 for every $5 bet, or 1.41%. A player taking the full 1000x odds is going to have $5005 wagered two out of three times as the other 1/3 of the time the wager wins or loses on the first roll. This means the 1000x bettor is betting $3338 on average and still only has a $.07 house advantage on his $3338 wager. This puts the house advantage somewhere near .00002%.

Maybe my math isn't perfect there (if it is wrong someone please tell me so I can do this right in the future) but there is certainly a drastic reduction in house advantage at a 1000x game if someone takes the full odds. The player taking no odds is giving up somewhere in the neighborhood of 700x more house advantage on a percentage basis than the full odds player. When the player taking no odds has wagered $3338 he has theoretically paid $46.73 in juice where the 1000x player has paid $.07.

4 and 10: 4995 x2 = 9990 + the 5 on the line = $9995
5 and 9: 4995 x 3/2 = 7492 + the 5 on the line = $7497
6 and 8: 4995 x 6/5 = 5994 + the 5 on the line = $5999

And, if you come out with a 7 or 11 you win 5 bucks!

Re: Riviera 1000x Craps

They're asking for someone to take a huge shot at them. Someone's going to drop a couple purples under a red chip on the odds bet. If the roll loses, they scoop up the odds before the bet is taken. If caught, they drunkenly apologize and drop 3 reds back on the felt.

Very thorough. Didn't forget to mention the 5 bucks with an exclamation! Awesome post.
