1. youre going to pay vloser to 1500-1700/mo for a short term lease at the meridian.

2. Its 2 blocks, not a mile from bills.

If this doesn't work I'd consider renting a car and checking some of the extended stays out. I'd focus on budget suites on trop w of strip, the extended by orleans on cameron, one by the palms and the ones on warm springs and s lv blvd and by southpoint

fyi you can get a 3 month lease without any problems in Vegas
At least AFAIK, jason (the king of condos) doesnt do the meridian any more. At least he didnt the last time i heard.

Re: Renting in Las Vegas?

Can someone tell me what is the average price of a 2 bedroom apartment? The thing is this. The person that I'm planning on getting an apartment with... he has moved to las vegas permanently. But at the moment, he's staying at one of those extended stay places.

For me however, Im basically like simliar to those people who come to las vegas and see how long i can make it here for. So if things go really bad, i can go back home. The thing is i told this person this and he said he didn't mind at all since he is going to be in las vegas for at least 1 year. I told him that I didnt feel like getting a 2 roomapartment with him because what if say things go really bad and i want to leave in like 1 month etc and he said he didn't mind. But obviously that would be horrible since it would just be him with a 2 bedroom apartment.

So would you guys agree that renting a 2 bedroom in some extended stay is probably the best option at the moment? He wanted us to be roommates so we could split the costs and that is exactly what i like as well. Problem is i'm not sure if im going to be here you know for a long time whereas he already moved here permanently recently. He has a studio in an extended stay right now that he is staying in at the moment.

I'm thinking isn't renting those meredian 2 bedroom apartments probably the best option as oppose to an extended stay? Also, can someone tell me how the pricing works? I see there is a 2 bedroom condo furnished in the meridian condo website for $1650 per month. What other costs are there for a condo as im a newbie. I see there is a $100 application fee. I assume the $1650 per month does not include utilities? I know for extended stay places... the price you pay plus taxes includes everything. What about renting condos? Like how much would the $1650/month cost total when you include EVERYTHING? And i assume these are 6 month or 1 year leases?

Also, i see they mention one could rent these monthly. Does anyone have an idea how much extra it would cost if one rents that $1650 2 bedroom condo per month on a MONTHLY BASIS at meredian?

In my situation, would you say its better for me and the other guy to get an apartment or just rent a furnished studio?

Re: Renting in Las Vegas?

it seems like Holiday royale is a bit pricy. I wouldnt mind living in Northwest or Southwest as that is where a couple of my friends are.. I heard its close to the strip and has a good atmosphere
I'm moving on the 13th of this month but dont mind staying in a hotel till i figure out a decent apartment
I would like a larger apartment 2bedroom+ with an office. If anyone wants to split something let me know. I will obv pay a larger share of the rent.
We can do it on a month to month basis if possible or a 3 month lease

p.s. if anyone knows a landlord with a 1 bedroom with office , send me a pm as well
thx

Re: Renting in Las Vegas?

There are often a few houses full of poker players listed in the 2p2 marketplace. These can be great places to stay.

We currently have a room, and have openings periodically.

Re: Renting in Las Vegas?

$1650/mo ought to rent you a 4BR house with a pool and jacuzzi.
Then, rent out a room or two.

Pay a couple of months up front in cash...usually does the trick. Just don't get taken for a ride...

I have crappy credit and only play poker and have never had a problem getting a place in vegas. A lot of vacant rental properties right now. If you can pay first months rent plus the deposit up front and tell them what the deal is they should rent to you. One place made me show a bank statement that showed that I had some cash, and that I had income coming in.

I am looking for 3 month lease for Panaroma Towers or Veer. It needs to be furnished. But it looks like they al require a 6 month lease Willing to pay 2 months upfront.
