Does anyone know how much Aria charges for Incidental charges per night on a credit card, or if you are able to put down a cash deposit, how much that would be?

i put down cash deposit and paid cash for my room last time. My room bill was $722 for 5 nights and they charged $200 a night for incidentals. So upon checkin i had to pay $1,722 up front, then got the $1,000 for indidentals back when i checked out. Super pain in the ass too.

Correction: the guest services number was closed at the time. Not the hotel.

Actually that can happen. Some hotels will have like a 12-5AM window or so when the front desk is closed for reservations. I found this out at the Hard Rock when trying to book an extra day at 4AM one time.

i put cash down at encore once cuz the account my debit card is attached to was empty. i went to the bank and put cash in the next day and asked for my deposit back. they didn't have the necessary cash at the desk so they emptied every register then the reserve register, then the register that was about to go in for shift change and still had to go back and get more. ended up with 2400 in 5s, 10s and 20s. took about 40 minutes. not good times.

EH, I called them this morning and they stated my reservation did not require the credit card charge if I didn't want to, but that I would not be able to use room service, order movies, etc.

No big deal IMO, I'm barely gonna be in the room except for sleeping and I would rather have the $390 (or $600 cash) to spend elsewhere.

Friend tried to book a room at Caesar's the other night and they were closed and he was similarly outraged.

Totally standard. I'm out here in the eastern time zone, and many times I've been frustrated calling Vegas casinos late at night for possible reservations, sometimes not very late at all by western standards. It always comes as a surprise; you tend to assume a western hotel would still be ready to do business.
