After discovering my new found wealth, I take a quick shower and head out again, stumbling back over to the D in search of the hair of the dog and to cash my winning ticket. After sucking down two cran & goose I decide I may indeed survive this fatal hangover and find my way over to the pits. After a couple hours I've pissed away $200 between Three Card Poker and Pai Gow and place $300 on the Red Sox in the early game. I decide I'll head down towards Freemont East grab a bite and hang out in the El Cortez play some BJ and watch the Red Sox game.

I'd heard from some friends to check out the Smashed Pig just across from the El Cortez. I walk in and take a seat at the counter and ask the bartender what does she recommend? She says you can't go wrong with anything on the menu (which is small) but I had to try the deep fried deviled eggs their signature appetizer. Now as hung over as I was the thought of deep fried deviled eggs almost made me puke alone but I said what the hell I try and along with the Fish & Chips. She pours me a tall PBR and it makes me feel a lot better mixing with cranberry and vodka from the D. She brings out the deep fried deviled eggs and I try one, OMFG it may have been the best thing I've ever eaten I **** you not. I suck down the other three of them along with my second beer I was back to 100%. The Fish & Chips was damn good too I highly recommend this place!!!

No joke, I've had the other side of the coin before lol, the worst I can remember was over 10 years ago me and buddy was crushing a BJ table at the IP. Last I'd remember counting I had over 3K in blacks in front of me, the table was a Mardi Gras theme and they'd give you beads for every BJ you made. Same situation we were winning partying at the table tipping the **** out of the cocktail waitresses, we each had about four Kamikaze shots lined up at the table we haven't even took yet. I woke up that next morning face down in the bed still had my clothes on and my Mr.T start up jewelry set from all the BJ's. I search my pockets and the room to only find one $5 chip in my pocket . Later at lunch my buddies wife said we started betting $500 a hand and blew every cent lol.

I stroll over to the El Cortez it may smell like my grandmothers perfume but it's still one of my favorite places in Vegas. I find a table with a direct sight of my ball game and buy in my usual $300. Again I pretty much tread water for the next couple of hours as I watch the Red Sox **** the bed as my $300 goes up in smoke. I get with my original $300 head to the cage cash out, then find to the bar to figure out another game to bet on....down -$500 ON DAY...+425 for the trip

I have a few beers and decide the over in the Royals-Cards game is my play so I go lay $200 on it and then buy in for $300 at the craps table. Again I bet across on the numbers, play the pass line backing it up with odds to only find cold dice. After about 1.5 hours I take my remaining $60 I have left and spilt now down -740 on the day....+185 on the trip

I head back down Freemont into the Four Queens hoping for a turn around again buy in for $300 on the BJ table only to find the cruelest run of cards yet it only took about 30 minutes to get it all. Again I head across the street to the Freemont belly up at the bar drink a few beers and watch my baseball bet lose. I've been to Vegas many times know both the hot & cold swings come and go that's why having a winning days early in the trip is so important lol. I decide to get back in the ring again pony up $200 at the BJ table to no luck and again about an hour later I was busto. I wonder over for a 7&7 and lick my wounds down -$1440 for the day...-525 for the trip

I hike over to the California needed to hit the Noodle Bar on this trip, I start with Poke Lettuce Wrap and Finish with the Spicy Shrimp & Noodles. Also their play on Chips & Salsa is excellent I still have no idea what it is but it's good. No compliants as usual the Noodle Bar was top notch.

After my meal at the Noodle Bar I headed back over to The D to setup shop at Longbar. I drank a few beers played a little video poker before deciding to go back to the room and hope tomorrow would be better. I woke up early the next morning my plan was to grab breakfast and head over to Caesars Palace for the 10 am daily tourney. On my way back to the room the night before I stopped by the rewards counter at The Plaza to see if I could get a meal comp for the next day. I decided on Hash House A Go Go and that's where I stopped for breakfast, and as usual it was decent nothing spectacular, bigger portions doesn't always mean better. I went with the Sage Chicken & Eggs with Hollandaise.

Lmao.

Nice trip report so far.

I had a friend once who was obliterated at the craps table. Me and my other friend were playing in one of the greatest 2/5 nl games ever which eventually broke. We went over to the craps table and saw our obliterated friend could barely stand straight and was betting a few hundred a roll and had about 3k in chips. There was no way he had even 10 k to his name. So we dragged him out of there literally carried him from when we got to the parking lot to the car and threw him in the back seat and locked the doors with the child proof locks so he couldn't unlock them. He was trying to get out and was punching the windows on the ride to his house- this was in his car lol.

the next day he calls me up freaking out that he went to the casino with 3k and lost it all and that's he's ****ed. he didn't remember any of what i just described. boy was he relieved when i told him i had his chips.

Also I like your Vegas style. I can't stand over priced douchey casinos (other than the hot ass in them)and overpriced overrated food.

After breakfast I hitched a ride on the SDX Strip &
Downtown Express only to be entertained by homeless man ranting to himself about his girlfriend not willing to masturbate him(only in Vegas lol) then getting off at Bellagio and backtracking over to Caesars to play in the $100 daily. The tourney ended up getting 38 entrants, the structure wasn't to bad was able to get some play in, without it turning into a shove fest after a few levels. Again I was pretty card dead for the most part and I stayed patient finding a few cards here and there and robbing a few small pots. I made it to the final table never getting over 25k in chips from my original 10K and was the second short stack. About the third hand of the final table I looked down to find JJ and I shove all in for 17K drawing a call from one of the big stacks to which throws over JJ too . We chop and after about two uneventful orbits later I go bust when my 66 loses to AQ out in 8th.............-100 to start my last day.

I guess I still have a soft spot in my heart for all the older casino I cut my teeth on my first handful of visits to Vegas, especially since I was on a very small limited bankroll in those days. Thanks for reading

After going Busto in the daily over at CP I was thinking I hadn't played much Video Poker on this trip so, I decided to grab a cab and shoot over to the Gold Coast to tap that vein. I played VP for a few hours actually was running pretty good before dumping most of it back over my last 30 minutes put still managed to bag +240 win from my session spread over a few machines. I looked at my phone it was already after 5 and I was getting a bit hungry so I walked next door to the Rio for their Seafood Buffet. I found it better than it was the last trip I dined there but it's still not the quality it used to be many years back when it was well worth the $50.

With all that seafood still swimming in my stomach I hightailed it back Downtown and bought in for $300 at BJ table at The Plaza. The table started hot and in no time playing my aggressive progressing betting I had doubled up my original buy in. Then it happened, the dumbass couple from Hell sat down at my table. Usually I don't get to caught up with other peoples play at the table because sometimes playing out of whack can influence the deck in your favor. I do have a problem when I have a large bet out there and some idiot is betting the table minimum and has no regard for your large bet. Within four deals after the couple sits down I'm back down to my buy in because both are hitting when the dealers holding a 6 or 5 plus I'm double down on a large bet . Instead of being rude I leave the table and go grab a beer at the bar . Well I'm steaming about the beat I just took I see a penny Wheel of Fortune machine next to the bar so I slip a $20 into it after hitting a few small wins on the wheel, I get another spin and this happened
