I ran $200 into $1800 on 6 deck shoe with max bet $200. Plenty of times ran it $1000. Not to much to brag about.

Seen a guy play all day once at the same stakes. Bought in for $500 and cashed out $22,000. Think he played for 8 hours playing $200 x 2 hands. Insane.

I had an Epic weekend at the Beau in 2007. I went with a high roller buddy of mine. He had a huge line of credit and plays min. $300 a hand. I had just finished up at a 2/5 nl table and scored a nice $900 profit and went to check on him in the pits. He was just pulling his second marker for $10,000. He said I should sit down at the table and help him change his luck up, I told him I cant afford $300 a hand. Well, "I'll spot you two bets if you put in $600 he says". This gave me a total of 4 bets or $1200.

We both won the next 4/5 hands, I wanted to quit and pocket my new found thousands lol. However, he convinced me to start pressing. The rest was history. We went on a sick heater an I won over $50,000. He won about $135,000. I came home set aside money for the I.R.S. and paid cash for a new truck.

The crazy thing is I still get RFB offers from MGM group and havent played over $50 a hand since.

Not Vegas obv, but I've seen a relative of mine turn ~3k into ~100k AUD in the span of around 4hrs at a VIP room (and he wasn't even a counter, just pure luck)! Most insane run I've ever witnessed, blackjacks and perfect pairs left right and centre..

No one including me remembers the losing sessions haha! Anyway the most I've ever lost in 1 blackjack session was $1200, most in one day was around $2600. It was in the same day and about a month or so ago.

I can say with certainty I am up lifetime in blackjack, def down big in Video Poker and down big in machines. I just got my win/loss statement from Vanesh/Palazzo for 2009. Up $3400 in BJ last year there and down a little over $4300 in machines. My handle was really high, so not that bad.
The way I see it is: I stay at Palazzo a few times a month in a comped room, I get rooms for friends comped whenever they need it, I still have 43k+ points on my gold Grazie card, and if I need a room it costs me only 1000 pts a night and I have $200 a month in freeplay also. So it could be worse.

that's a pretty good stat.....I'm down lifetime w/ BJ which is why I won't play it anymore...at the height of my degen days in 2000, one night at MGM I sat with about 8k, caught a frozen rope and ran it down to 900. Left and came back 4 hous later, ran the 900 to 16k...and then back to zero..

Back in the 80's me and a friend are in Vegas for a 4 day trip with like 1,000 between us. Walking down the strip we end up at Casino Royal, complete with the picket line that was present back then.

I remember playing BJ, drinking alot, the sun coming up, and stumbling back to the Falmingo to our $29 a night room. What I didn't remember was how I won 6 grand and change, my buddy with 4 grand and change, stuffed in our front pockets when we woke up.

We headed back to the Royal the next afternoon, where the pitboss told us tales of how we were betting $100 a hand and tipping $25-$50 with each win. He basically said that we could have walked away with over $10K each if we wern't so generous with our tips.

Good times.

No way, the idea of this is to give me hope for my next trip. Plus, I don't like that people feel good when they read stories about other people losing lots of money.

Went to Vegas for a friend's wedding which was at Lake Las Vegas. Arrive on Friday afternoon with a couple of hours to burn before rehearsal dinner. Played at the small casino there buying in for $600, played $25/50 hand to get up about $600 before dinner. After dinner, play until about 5 am betting $100/200 a hand and run it up to $7K roughly.

The next day, me and a few buddies go to Hard Rock for lunch and some afternoon BJ. Up about $1000 with nothing spectacular until the last hand. We have to get back to Lake Las Vegas for the wedding so I bet one final hand at $1,000. I get 88 with dealer showing 6. Split, get another 8. End up with 3 hands and double all three and end up with like 17, 19, 19. So I have $6K on the table. Dealer busts. Nice. Toss dealer a $500 tip.

Go to the wedding with roughly $14K. After the wedding, play some more BJ at Lake Las Vegas and run it up to $27K from the $600 original buy. Good times.

Back in 2003, was at a casino in Canada - sat at a $5 table with some friends and ran $100 up to $500, decided to go into the high roller room (it's the only place you could get free liquor). Played the $500 and cashed out $2500 with my maxbet being $500, average bet was around $75.

Came back the next day, took the $2500 and went to $0 on a horrible run at a $100 double deck table.

I believe you exaggerated this story a little (eg the tripling down on the 1k bet), but regardless thats awesome.

Wtf? Would you expect him to stay on his 16 just because he bet more? If there were no split, resplit, double hands we'd never crush or get buried. If two of these hands had gone differently in my life, well...I try not to think about it.

wynn would just have him removed/temp banned from tables adn shipped into the penthouse on the house and food and the whole deal, he is a classy guy

Ha well doesn't splitting those hands increase your edge in the long run? This wouldn't be the long run...it would be one hand that absolutely hasta go right. So it's prob irrelavent in terms of what you do.

Anyway, it just seemed like such a huge amount of money--600 to 27k--so i thought maybe parts were exaggerated.

it happens. i know someone who turned his initial $2k into $60k and chunks of his winnings came from splits and DDs.

When something absolutely has to go right, staying on 16 is not the solution.

Trust me. A Blackjack player is not staying with two 8s against any dealer up card, especially a six. I am not a member of the MIT BJ team, but consider myself a fairly serious player when I have the chance to play. Now, was I entirely comfortable with that kind of money spread on the table? No. But, when the dealer went 16, 26 it was pretty exciting.

That Sunday morning I was faced with a problem. I hate toting carry-on luggage and try to avoid it at all costs. So, I did not have a carry-on for my flight back home. Obviously I was not going to put that kind of money in a checked bag, so I had $100 bills stuffed in every pocket imaginable on the trip home.

27k fits easily in two front pockets.

I wouldn't say EASILY (270 bills is a pretty big wad) but yeah, it definitely can be packd into two front pockets unless you're a little fella or wearing some snug ass pants

All I wear are your standard khakis. Wallet, keys, plus the cash fit comfortably in my pants using all the pockets. That was the first and unfortunately last time I travelled with that kind of jack, so I wasn't real sure about getting thru security (this was May, 2007). No problems though.
