any idea what time the GN tourney will finish on saturday? just dont want to get stuck there for 8 hours to win $300.

I made the final table last time and it took about 12 hours. I have you & Daryn down for the breakfast and tourney (just got a txt from him).

As it stands ATM rooms downtown are running about $60 for Sat the 29th. Thinking about getting a room and making a downtown night of it.

Yeah I've considered that too for both Fri & Sat night. For some reason Fri is actually more expensive than Saturday

For all my Poker Church buddies - this week I will not be at the meeting. I have run a successful stake sale and I'll be doing two Bellagio Five Diamonds events this weekend.

But the meeting will still go on! I have asked Baconmaker to facilitate the meeting in my absence and he has graciously agreed.

I'll still be sending out the txt alerts and answering questions, I'll just be down the street at the Bellagio behinds stack & stacks of checks I can't even see over . . .

Not in Vegas yet but will be in a few weeks. I don't know a single person in Vegas, hope the Church is still running when I get there to meet you guys.

I've never forced pics on the group and I don't see that changing. The goal is to create a good group for poker discussion, not an photo album. Your entire life doesn't *have* to happen on Instagram you know if members want to take pics that's fine, but we're usually too busy talking about poker.

You're welcome to join us any time. I've pledged to be there every Sunday from 2-5 and I'll keep showing up as long as one other person is there. It's been going great so far and anyone is welcome.

I want to take a quick temperature check on an idea: I read a really fascinating article on Magic The Gathering this morning. So fascinating, that I've even ordered the 2015 collection from Amazon. Article:http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/mag...1/+robharvilla

Is there any interest in devoting a meeting to other card games, like Magic? Do we have any Magic experts among us? It might be neat to at least get a primer for the game. Sounds strategic like poker and I'm NOT a fantasy/sci-fi guy at all - but Magic sounds like its a lot more than just "wizards & spells".

Any interest in this? Just looking for a temperature check on this, we'll schedule this for a future meeting if there's interest.
